Flat glass fiber is one kind of special glass fiber with a certain aspect ratio,has excellent strengthening efficiency on engineering plastic.In this article,PA9T composites reinforced with different amounts of flat glass fiber were made,the properties were compared with short-glass fiber reinforced composites.Wollastonite is used to improve the warpage performance of its preferred formulation.In this paper,we first research the mechanical properties,fluidity,warpage deformation and crystallization properties of flat glass fiber PA9T composites.The results show that the optimum tensile strength of PA9T composites is 243.5 MPa with the 55wt%flat glass fiber content.While the flexural strength of 328.4 MPa,notched impact of 23.5 kJ/m~2are the optimum when the flat glass fiber content is 65wt%.The warpage deformation of 55wt%flat glass fiber reinforce PA9T composites is only 1.0 mm.The non-Newtonian index of flat glass fiber reinforce PA9T composites is 0.56 and the flow activation energy?E is 123.6 kJ/mol,showing better fluidity than short-cut glass fiber PA9T composites.According to the SEM photograph analysis of the tensile section of the material,the performance of the flat glass fiber PA9T composite is better than that of the ordinary glass fiber PA9T composite mainly due to the fact that the flat glass fiber is more uniform and more uniform in orientation than the ordinary glass fiber in the PA9T resin.Adding 2-6wt%of wollastonite to 55wt%flat glass fiber PA9T composite for reducing warpage deformation of the product.Studies have shown that with the addition of 6wt%wollastonite,the warpage deformation of the product is reduced from 1.00 mm to 0.80 mm.2wt%wollastonite can reduce the processing balance torque from 9.85 N·m to 7.89 N·m,which is beneficial to material processing performance and further increases crystallization by9.0%.However,the mechanical properties of 55wt%flat glass fiber PA9T composites are slightly reduced.SEM photo show the reason for mechanical properties decline is the interface between wollastonite and PA9T resin is weak.
