With the continuous improvement of the requirements for high-speed and high-efficiency cutting,the traditional mechanical spindles that use metal to drive gears to achieve metal removal have become increasingly unable to meet the needs of the production site.With the continuous advancement and rapid development of electric drive technology,the electric spindle capable of achieving zero transmission has been born.Due to the structural characteristics of the electric spindle,the spindle speed is improved in terms of quality.The birth of the electric spindle has greatly affected the processing capability of CNC machine tools,especially the processing capacity of aluminum alloys.Compared with the traditional mechanical transmission spindle,the electric spindle has the advantages of simple transmission chain,high speed and good dynamic response.The cutting torque provided by the mechanical spindle is relatively low due to the simple structure of the transmission chain.The speed of the electric spindle can generally reach tens of thousands of revolutions per minute,and is often used on metal removal equipment that requires high spindle speed,high cutting efficiency,and low cutting load requirements.In order to ensure the normal high-speed rotation of the electric spindle,the mechanical structure of the electric spindle is very precise,and the electrical system is also very complicated,which results in high cost.Different sizes of electric spindles have different requirements for mounting the base,but the assembly accuracy requirements for installation are very strict.The spindle is mounted on a specific machine to rotate normally,and the performance of the spindle is tested during the rotation.The test of the electric spindle installed on the machine tool is usually to test the spindle’s rotation accuracy,dynamic balance performance and other single items.There is a lack of electric spindle test platform for multi-project testing of different size electric spindles.Therefore,in order to be able to evaluate the performance of the electric spindle in all aspects,this paper builds an electric spindle test platform to realize the control of the operating state of the electric spindle,and can test the rotation precision,bearing temperature,vibration,noise,and the electric spindle of different sizes of oil and gas lubrication type.Test the project of loose shank force and coolant temperature,so as to carry out research on maintenance,rational use and maintenance technology of electric spindle,improve the use and maintenance level of electric spindle,ensure the efficient use of electric spindle,and improve machine tool.Utilization,and strive to achieve independent maintenance,get rid of the dependence of foreign electric spindle manufacturers maintenance,and thus save high maintenance costs.
