Cold roll-beating forming technology is a near-clear shap ing method which by utilization of certain plastic deformation ability while metal under cold-state and using certain shape roller rotation and beating workpiece surface continuously,forcing surface-layer Imetal local flowing then generating plastic deformation,through relative motion relationship betxween roller arnd workpiece,local deformation accumulation into final function surface.During forming process,because of different material properties and processing conditions,the forming parts appear defects in different degrees,such as scale grain,folding wrin kles,insufficient forming,flanging,scratches,influence the use of func.tional surface.Therefore,the problem to be solve is researching cold roll-beating forming parts defect suppression method.This article focuses on scale grain produced mechanism cold roll-beating forming process and the influence law of process and material parameters on the scale lines.It has important theoretical and engineering significanc e:On the basis of cold roll-beating forming principle,according to the motion relationship between roller and workpiece,analysis forming characteristics and scale grain defect formation and its influencing factors of up-beating and down-beating ways.To establish the corresponding theory analytic expressions of scale characteristic parameters,the relationship between scale theory height ancd width and roller speeding and workpiece feed speeding w'ere obtained through analysis and calculation,as to provide theoretical basis for scale grain defects inhibition.Finite element analysis model of cold roll-beating forming process is established,the formation process of scale on the surface of the cold roll-beating forming parts to carry on simulation by using the ABAQUS finite element soft ware,the influence law of roller speeding,workpiece feeding speed,friction coefficient and material characteristic parameters on scale characteristic parameter.Analysis the characteristics of scale height and width and change trend under the condition of up-beating and down-beating,the optimal process parameters obtained to inhibiting the scale.Experiment on self-developed cold roll-beating,equipment with different process parameters and material complete specimen shape.Through measurement and analysis different process parameters and material characterization of specimen's surface scale parameters,analysis test results contrast with theoretical calculation and finite element simulation results shows that the scale characterization parameters and change law consistency,which verified effectiveness correctly of the theory analysis and simulation model.It is a good guide for the future research work.
