The color related industry has increasingly higher requirements on color difference with the continuous development of science and technology and continuous improvement of living standards.In order to evaluate color accurately and scientifically,it is necessary to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the consistency of the human eye's color vision discrimination characteristics and the color-difference formula.In the ideal case,it must be in a special color space,in which the numerical changes of different color areas are consistent with the color difference perceived by human eyes,and the color space satisfying this condition is called the uniform color space in color perception,when calculating the color difference.Therefore,the uniformity of color space of Sino Color Book was studied,and the three color-difference formulas were compared.Firstly,the color of each central sample was drawn quickly with the computer drawing tool.And then the color space uniformity of Sino Color Book was studied by means of direct edge contact and the relationship between visual color difference and the color difference calculated by CMC(2:1)color difference formula,CIEL*a*b*color difference formula and CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color difference formula was studied.In different depth condition,the yellow(0°),orange(60°),magenta(120°),purple(180°),blue(240°),green(300°)series were chosen as research objects to explore the relationship between the three kinds of color difference formula and visual color difference.It was found that with the increase of the depth,the color difference of the central sample of the green series fluctuated greatly,and its uniformity was worse than the other five colors.Among the three formulas,CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula was the most consistent with human visual characteristics,followed by CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,and the worst was CIEL*a*b*color-difference formula.Performance factor PF/3 was used to verify the difference between CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula and CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and visual color difference.In yellow and blue series,the difference between CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula and visual color difference was smaller than CMC(2:1)color-difference formula andCIE DE2000(2:1:1)color difference formula.In orange,magenta,purple and green series,the different between CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference and visual color difference was smaller than CMC(2:1)color-difference formula and CIEL*a*b*color-difference formula.The relationship between the visual color difference and color difference that was calculated by CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula under different hue angle was studied.Therefore,the color blocks with depth of 26 and 48 and hue angle of 42 were selected as the central samples.It was found that the fluctuation of color difference was small.The color space uniformity of Sino Color Book was good,and the visual uniformity of high depth was better than low depth.But the higher the depth was,the larger the visual color difference was.Therefore,in terms of different hue angle,CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula is the most consistent with the visual characteristics of human eyes,followed by CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,and the worst is CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula.Performance factor PF/3 was used to verify the difference between CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula and CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and visual color difference.The difference between CIE DE2000(2:1:1)and visual color difference was smaller than CMC(2:1)color-difference formula and CIEL*a*b* color-difference formula.In this study,the relationship between visual color difference and color difference that was calculated by CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and CIEL*a*b* color difference formula was studied under different chroma.Therefore,the depth of 26 and 48 and hue angle of 0°,60°,120°,180°,240°,300°,different chroma of color samples were chosen as the research objects in this study.It was found that the uniformity of the Sino Color Book was very good,with the increase of chroma.The CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and CMC(2:1)color-difference formula were very close to the visual color difference.Therefore,CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color-difference formula and CMC(2:1)color-difference formula were more consistent with visual color difference than CIEL*a*b* color difference formula.Performance factor PF/3 was used to compare the difference between CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIEL*a*b*color-difference formula and CIE DE2000(2:1:1)and visual color difference.The difference between CIE DE2000(2:1:1)color difference and visual color difference was smaller than that between CMC(2:1)color-difference formula,CIEL*a*b*color-difference formula.
