Anaerobic granular sludge can be considered as a spherical biofilm composed of billions of anaerobic microorganisms,which plays an indispensable role in the stable operation of anaerobic reactor.The formation of granular sludge is affected by many factors.The research on granulation of anaerobic sludge has become a hot point.In this study,the cultivation of high quality anaerobic granular sludge was studied,and the performance of different anaerobic granular sludges were studied.The main work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Anaerobic granular sludges was cultured by three methods(PVA mixed flocculent sludge,flocculent sludge with Ca2+ and PAM,activated carbon mixed flocculent sludge).The removal efficiency of COD,gas production,particle size distribution of granular sludge and microorganisms were compared.The results showed that the operation effect of 1#reactor and the removal rate of COD,average sedimentation rate,size distribution of sludge and microbial distribution on particle surface of PVA anaerobic granular sludge cultured in 1#reactor were better than those of the other two reactors.The results showed that the addition of PVA gel particles had the best effects on anaerobic granular sludge cultivation.(2)The adaptability of UASB reactor inoculated with three kinds of anaerobic granular sludge to the impact of organic load was investigated,and the distributioncharacteristics of DOM in effuent uent were analyzed.In the procces of load shock,the COD concentration in effluent of three reactors changed with the change of COD concdntration in influent.1#reactor has the lowest fluctuation range of COD removalrate and the highest removal rate.DOM in the effluent of the reactor during the shock operation under organic loading mainly includes humic acid,aromatic protein and two different SMPs.The total fluorescence intensity of DOM in effluent of 1#reactor is smaller than that of the other two reactors.PVA anaerobic granular sludge has the strongest adaptability to the impact of continuously changing organic loads.(3)The removal efficiency and adsorption isotherm types of organic matter in wastewater from different kinds of anaerobic granular sludge before and after inactivation were investigated,and the changes of infrared spectra before and after the adsorption of organic matter by granular sludge were compared.The three anaerobic granular sludges have similar rules in the process of organic matter adsorption in wastewater at the initial stage.The adsorption of COD decreases rapidly at first,then rises,and finally decreases again.The initial adsorption process of anaerobic granular sludge on organic matter includes physical adsorption,biological adsorption and chemical adsorption.Anaerobic granular sludge has good initial adsorption capacity for COD.The adsorption isotherm is more in line with Freundlich isotherm,and the adsorption performance of PVA granular sludge is the best.
