Polyester-cotton fabrics are increasingly used in daily use due to their excellent performance.Currently,there are fewer hydrophilic softeners for polyester-cotton fabrics.In this paper,a new type of polyester hydrophilic softener was synthesized by polycondensation of a polyester polyether segment of a hydrophilic finishing agent and a fatty segment of a softener,and there have been great improvements on the hydrophilic and softness of finished fabric.In this experiment,tri-ethanolamine,stearic acid,dimethyl terephthalate(DMT),ethylene glycol(EG),polyethylene glycol(PEG)were used as raw materials to synthesize the finishing agent through a series of chemical reactions.The main synthesis method was a three-step method,and this new-type polyester-cotton hydrophilic soft finishing agent was synthesized by esterification reaction,transesterification reaction and polycondensation reaction.The finishing agent had certain hydrophilic softening and antistatic effects on polyester-cotton fabrics through a series of application experiments.The main conclusions were as follows:The optimal synthesis process of triethanolamine monostearate was as follows: concentrated sulfuric acid was used as the esterification reaction catalyst,the reaction temperature is 190?,the ratio of the substance is 1:0.8,and the reaction time is 5 h.Under this condition,the yield of triethanolamine monostearate was over 80%.The separation and purification experiment of triethanolamine monostearate was carried out by silica gel column chromatography,and the product was dissolved in dichloromethane,and petroleum ether and ethyl acetate were used as a developing solvent.The esterification products were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy,and the structure of the product,the yield of the monoester,and the separation of the purified product were determined to be triethanolamine monostearate were based on the spectral data.The basic conditions of the synthesis reaction were determined according to a series of experiments,and the experimental conditions were optimized by orthogonal experiments.The optimal synthesis process of the finishing agent was as follows: the molecular weight of PEG is2000,the molar ratio of PEG to triethanolamine monostearate is 1:0.4,the reaction temperature is260?,and the polycondensation reaction time is 45 min.Analysis date by infrared spectroscopy indicated that triethanolamine monostearate was linked to the macromolecular segment of the finishing agent by a polycondensation reaction.The best application process of polyester-cotton hydrophilic soft finishing agent was as follow: one dip and one rolling,the rolling rate is 80%,the bath ratio is 1:20,the finishing agent concentration is 25 g/L,the baking temperature is 170°C,the baking drying time is 80 s.The hydrophilic and soft properties of the finished fabric were greatly improved and have excellent antistatic properties.The washing performance test of the finished fabric showed that the finishing agent had certain washing performance.The finishing agent was compared with several commercially available hydrophilic softeners,and the data showed that the hydrophilic soft finishing effect of the finishing agent was superior to the commercially available hydrophilic softening agent.
