In recent years, the global consumption of natural gas has grown steadily.Natural gas liquefaction and LNG gasification facilities have developed rapidly. In addition,LNG international trade is in the process of vigorous development. With the gradual opening of China's natural gas market,LNG has become an important source of natural gas in China. In this paper, through the research on the functional orientation, management process, scale status, and operation modes of China National Petroleum Corporation import LNG business,we propose that China National Petroleum Corporation import LNG business is facing a large number of problems.Such as the management system of imported LNG business is imperfect. The import LNG business process is handled by three different business units, with scattered management. And the functional positioning of imported LNG is single which is contrary to the trend of development. And the LNG receiving station is trapped in business. Moreover peaking capacity insufficiency, low equipment utilization and other major issues are also beset the prosperous development of import LNG business. So we proposed some optimization schemes. In the first place,we should change the positioning of business functions, regarding imported LNG business as an important part of the natural gas business.Secondly,we must improve the management mechanism to form an integrated management model from the upper reaches to the Downstream.Besides,we should expand the LNG receiving station to address regional peaking requirements. And we should utilize the perfect conditions of the natural port, making an innovative marketing models, and then improving economic efficiency. The ultimate objective is to promoting the development of China National Petroleum Corporation LNG and the economic efficiency of enterprises.
