The gas transportation and distribution network system in the Northwest Originating of Xinjiang is a hydraulic system which is large-scale and complicated and has many source of the gas and multi user. It's includes long-distance transmission pipeline with inlet and divide gas of branch line, as well as includes high-pressure loop transportation and distribution pipeline of city, the regular run of whole system would be influenced by the change of source of gas and user, in addition, the complexity of network and the particularity of gas flow regularity make the management of whole system and manage more difficult, thereby, the contradiction of producing,supplying and selling is aggravated. So it is necessity to carry out a research on the run of the gas transportation and distribution pipeline network system in Northwest Originating. Do a simulation to the pipeline network system in a condition changed. As to reform the pipeline network system , to optimize operation of the pipeline network system. And to accomplish the task of gas transportation and distribution steadily and in safety, at the same time, to reduce the cost of operating management.In accord with basic theories of gas transportation and distribution pipeline in this dissertation, a hydraulic simulation of gas transportation and distribution pipeline network system has been worked out in the Northwest originating of Xinjiang. The physical model and mathematics model of the system have been set up, and a corresponding solving method has been put forward. Then, a gas pressure at anly node and a gas flow rate in anly pipe section can be got.. And a mathematics model of running optimization of the gas transportation and distribution pipeline network system has been set up. the object function is the operating management convert expenses of a pipeline network system. the solving method of this model has been studied as well. From the result of the hydraulic simulation of the pipeline network system, Judging whether the network system could meet the request of gas transportation technology can be done. if It can't meet the request, then an adjustment and a reform schemes of the network system must be studied accord with the gas source condition and gas user's requisition. Several schemes in technically feasible were put forward, then using object function in the mathematics model to choose optimization algorithms and seek the optimum operating scheme.The capacity of the gas transportation pipeline network system was also studied so as to utilize all the existing pipeline and equipment fully in this dissertation. The calculation method of the maximum gas transportation capacity, the minimum gas transportation quantity, the economic gas starting transportation quantity and the economic gas transportation quantity by the horizontal gas transportation pipeline with inlet and outlet branch line. Every pipeline of the gas transportation and distribution network system was calculated In the Northwest Originating of Xinjiang.Because the gas transportation and distribution network system in Northwest Originating of Xinjiang not only has a function of gas transportation, but also has a function of gas distribution, so the gas storage and peak adjusting of the pipeline network system were studied in this dissertation. At first, the ways of natural gas storage,the situation of gas storage technology currently and the measures of gas peak adjusting were expounded synthetically. To focus research on the gas storage capacity and calculation method of each pipeline of the gas transportation and distribution pipeline network system in Northwest originating of Xinjiang. And then the storage capacity of each pipeline was calculated out. Also, the operating parameters of the pipeline network system was researched in the Northwest originating of Xinjiang. A method which decide the relationship between the gas quantity in the pipeline and the operating parameters along the pipeline was put forward. This can help the administrator to find out the operating conditions of the pipeline everywhen, that is to say, the operating parameters in different gas storage in the pipeline network system can be found. Conversely, according to the user's requisition of gas peak adjusting, the operating parameters of the pipeline can be adjusted immediately.Finally, Visual Basic adopted, a calculation program of optimization running the gas transportation and distribution pipeline network system in the Northwest Originating of XinJiang was worked out.
