Research On The Experience Design Of Kitchen Appliances For The Elderly Based On Minimalism

With China's formal aging society,people are increasingly concerned about pension issues.Under the influence of specific national conditions and independent choices,home-based care for the aged has become the main mode.Therefore,optimizing the home environment and improving the design of household appliances will be of substantial help to the elderly people's life.The kitchen is the environment that occupy the home relatively complex and the area with taller safety requirement,and the kitchen is the space that communicates affection to the family,enjoys the happiness of a family for old people.Therefore,kitchen appliances matching the actual needs of elderly users can provide a relaxed and efficient cooking process,allowing the elderly to experience a more healthy and comfortable diet and life,and convey social care from the perspective of products.This paper applies the theory of minimalism and experience design to design research.Firstly,through the exploration of the concept,historical evolution and essence of minimalism,the characteristics of product design of minimalism are analyzed and summarized.Secondly,through a questionnaire survey to explore the market demand for kitchen appliances for the elderly,this paper discusses the necessity of applying minimalism to kitchen appliances for the elderly.The physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly population were summarized,and specific cooking behavior patterns were included through interviews and observation.This paper summarizes the theory and method of experience design,and analyzes the factors of experience design of kitchen appliances for the elderly from the levels of instinct experience,behavior experience and reflection experience.Furthermore,based on the results of the questionnaire survey and interview,24 elderly people's demands for kitchen appliances were obtained.The KANO model was used to classify the demand attributes,and the product demands with obvious influence on user satisfaction were analyzed objectively and concretely from the data and model.Finally,the experience design elements and CMF of kitchen appliances for the elderly were analyzed and summarized,and the principles and methods of experience design of kitchen appliances for the elderly based on minimalism were proposed.The design practice realized the productization of the research results of the elderlykitchen appliance design theory in the form of design examples.From product positioning to sketch conception,the design of three groups of products including microwave oven,rice cooker and induction cooker was finally worked out.Three groups of products were analyzed for feasibility,and expounding the experience realization of the scheme.Based on the minimalist experience design research of kitchen appliances for the elderly,this paper aims to meet the product demands of the elderly users and meet the psychological needs of the elderly group from the perspective of experience design.So as to improve the categories of products for the elderly,optimize the quality of life in old age,improve the conditions for the elderly,and reduce the concerns of their children.Figure 69,chart 9,59 references.
