Research On The Design Of Kitchen Appliances For The Elderly Based On User Experience

In today's society,the aging process of the population is intensifying,and the needs of the elderly are getting more and more attention,and designers have gradually begun to devote themselves to researching products that the elderly need.Research in the field of products for the elderly in the world is an important part of industrial design.This article intends to supplement and improve the design research in the field of kitchen appliances for the elderly,provide design frameworks,strategies and ideas,and guide related design practices.Due to the life and work patterns of contemporary young people,the kitchen has become a space for the elderly to communicate family emotions with the current home care mode becoming the main mode of care for the elderly in my country.In the home environment of the elderly,the kitchen area is relatively complicated and requires high safety.Therefore,optimizing the design of kitchen appliances and improving the user experience of the home environment has practical significance for the lives of the elderly.Based on user experience related theories,combined with literature research,user interviews and kano model demand analysis,this paper constructs user-centered design ideas,studies the life status,behavior habits and physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly,so that users can fully express their needs,Dig deep into user needs and transform them into a list of product features,and sum up design elements such as sensory,behavior,emotion,etc.,to complete the product design practice using microwave ovens as an example.First of all,conduct research on kitchen products for the elderly,understand the current problems in the elderly kitchen product market and common research methods for such problems,conduct research on kitchen products,and sort out the current product categories on the market.At the same time,combining the concept of user experience and its research methods,the design process of elderly kitchen products is sorted out to provide ideas for subsequent design.Secondly,combined with the user experience analysis method,summarize the physiological and psychological characteristics of the elderly through the literature method,go deep into the life scenes and social roles of the elderly,conduct in-depth analysis,dig out user needs,and sort out a list of user needs.Analysis of shape and color draws the design elements of kitchen appliances for the elderly.Finally,based on the results of user experience analysis,the design and development of kitchen appliances for the elderly are carried out.The functional layout and human-computer interaction process are planned according to the product requirement list,design principles and methods,and finally sketch drawing,3D modeling and effect display are completed.
