The Magnetizing Treatment Technology And The Device Design For Cutting Tools

Improving cutting tools durability has always been one of the key research issues in machinery manufacturing industry.The improvement of cutting tools durability can not only reduce the processing cost,but also save the time caused by the loading and unloading of the cutting tools and grinding,thus improving the production efficiency.Magnetization treatment technology is to use magnetic field to treat cutting tools for a short time.Without changing the original processing conditions,it can significantly improve the cutting tools durability,has the characteristics of low cost and fast speed.It is highly valued by researchers and enterprise engineers.Cutting tools magnetization treatment device suitable for the market needs to be developed urgently.In this paper,a new type of cutting tools AC magnetization treatment device is developed.The device adopts STM32F4 development system as the main control,and combines with programmable variable frequency power supply to realize continuous adjustable magnetization processing intensity,frequency and processing time.The magnetization processing parameters can be set by color touch screen,which has the characteristics of low cost and simple use.In addition,the device can automatically demagnetize the cutting tools immediately after magnetization,and the processing chamber uses a non-conductive material bracket to eliminate the influence of the reverse induction electric field on the magnetization treatment.The high-speed steel bit was processed with different parameters by using the developed magnetization processing device,and the orthogonal optimization processing experiment was carried out.The results show that the durability of the treated bit can be increased by more than 70%.Furthermore,the device can not only be used in actual production,but also be used as experimental research equipment because the processing parameters can be adjusted continuously.
