Due to the poor working environment and long working time of underwater wet electrical connector,the sealing component's capability and service life should meet high requirement.The analysis of sealing performance and calculation of service life are helpful to the design and application of the electrical connector.Based on the finite element analysis of connector's sealing performance,the influence of friction coefficient and the radial compression under different sealing conditions on contact stress is analyzed.The result shows that the stress distribution is more uniform with smaller friction coefficient.With the increase of radial compression,the average stress increase and the fluctuation of stress distribution becomes stable gradually which is the most dramatic when radial compression is 0.2mm.At the same time,the leakage of sealing component is calculated based on the empirical formula method,the oil seal model and the slot flow leakage model separately.The results show that the area of sealing and the media pressure have an important role in the leakage and the oil seal model and the slot flow leakage model are more suitable for the electrical connector's working conditions.The thermoelectric coupling analysis of flexible diaphragm component is carried out.The result shows that the temperature at the connector's contact surface is the highest,and decreases at other parts.With the increase of temperature,the range of contact stress decrease while the average contact stress increases.The arithmetic function which predicts its aging life is established.The decay velocity of life time increases with the increasing of temperature decreases with the increase of compression ratio.Based on the crack propagation method,the fatigue life of the sealing component is calculated and analyzed under different sealing performances.It shows that the effect of strain on the fatigue life is more obvious.
