Adding nano particles to improve the performance of lubricating oil is a hot topic in recent years,and it is one of the research branches of nano tribology.The good dispersion stability of nanoparticles in lubricating oil is a problem that can not be ignored.The flocculation or deposition of nanoparticles will cause their performance,which is difficult to play and even makes the friction and wear between the pairs more intensified.The main purpose in this paper is to analyze the influnces of different particle sizes on the dispersion stability of lubricating oil through experiments.(1)The particle size of the experiment was ZnO,and it has three types,30nm,50nm and 90nm.(2)Surface modification of nanoparticles is related to peregal OS-15,Span 60,Span 80 division division,Tween 60,Tween 80 five dispersants.According to different lubricating,0il reagents are divided into five groups,including 30nm,50nm,90nm three size of the ZnO particles in each group.With magnetic stirring and ultrasonic cleaning,five groups of lubricating oil in the sample can be dispersed by nano ZnO,12h sedimentation test,each oil sample is still muddy muddy,and no obvious flocculation or deposition is found.(3)The centrifuge tests of lubricating oil samples from each group are carried out for 20min.The lubricating oil samples from each group are the lowest and the transparency of the lubricant samples is the lowest,with the addition of 30nmZnO particles,followed by 50nmZnO and 90nmZnO lubricating oil samples.(4)The absorbance and transmittance of five groups of lube oil samples are measured by spectrophotometer.The dispersion degree of nano ZnO particles in lubricating oil samples from each group is quantitatively analyzed.The dispersity and stability of nanoparticles in the lube oil samples are also better,with higher absorbance and smaller transmittance.From the test,it is found that the smaller the particle size is,the better the dispersion stability of ZnO nanoparticles is.(5)With the ZnO oil samples of peregal OS-15 modified 30nm,50nm and 90nm,the tribological properties test will be carried out on four ball testing machine.It has been found that lubricating oil particles have better performance in the dispersion stability of specimens.
