With the development of science and technology,the manufacturing industry has developed rapidly.The rapid development of manufacturing industry is based on the premise of high-quality workpiece processing and high precision processing equipment.In the workpiece processing process and high precision processing equipment,end milling cutter occupies a very important position.In the process of using the end milling cutter,the accurate measurement of the axial relief angle of the end edge of the end milling cutter can greatly improve the service life of the end milling cutter,and is also the premise of machining high-precision and high-quality workpiece.The accurate measurement of the axial relief angle of the opposite milling cutter is helpful to determine the reasonable grinding amount in the process of the end milling cutter being processed and grinded.After grinding,the measurement of the axial relief angle of the end mill is also a means to check the qualified grinding.Therefore,the high-precision measurement of the axial relief angle of the end edge of the end milling cutter is of great significance for the use of the end milling cutter and the end milling cutter.In this paper,the machine vision technology with the advantages of non-contact and high precision is adopted to achieve accurate measurement of the axial relief angle of end milling cutter.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)In order to realize the accurate measurement of the axial relief angle of the end milling cutter,a measuring system of the axial relief angle based on machine vision is designed.The measurement system uses the optical darkroom to effectively reduce the interference of the measurement environment light on the measurement accuracy;uses the damping vibration isolation platform to reduce the impact of small vibration on the measurement accuracy in the measurement environment;adds the manual displacement platform to reduce the positioning error of the end mill.The measurement system provides an experimental platform for the precise measurement of the axial relief angle of end mill.(2)On the experimental measurement platform,the depth of field of the machine vision measurement system is effectively extended by using the sequence diagram of the end milling cutter collected,and the image of the end milling cutter is obtained based on the sequence image synthesis method.The positioning error of the end milling cutter is identified in the image of the end milling cutter with the depth of field,and the position of the end milling cutter is adjusted through the manual displacement platform in the measurement system,so as to ensure the end milling cutter position The positioning accuracy required in the process of precise measurement of the axial relief angle of the end edge of the milling cutter.(3)In order to reduce the influence of photon scattering noise on the edge stability of image detection,the fluctuation range of image gray value is reduced by averaging the image of end milling cutter in adjacent frames,so as to improve the stability of image edge detection in the process of measurement.On the basis of ensuring the positioning accuracy of the end milling cutter and reducing the influence of photon scattering noise,the accurate measurement of the axial relief angle parameters of the end edge of the end milling cutter is realized.(4)Through the contrast experiment,the influence of environment light,vibration,positioning error and photon shot noise on the measurement stability of the axial relief angle of end milling cutter is verified.By comparing the measurement values of the axial relief angle of the end milling cutter with the method of averaging the images of the adjacent end milling cutters with different frame numbers,it is verified that the stability of the measurement of the axial relief angle of the end milling cutter can be improved by reducing the photon shot noise.
