The dyeing rate of indigo dye on cotton fiber is low in the traditional water base.To obtain a higher dyeing depth,the cotton fiber is usually dyed multiple times,but the indigo reduction is easily oxidized during the dyeing process,causing some problems such as a lot of alkali chemicals,salt and water,which will increase the alkalinity of the dyeing wastewater,cumbersome dyeing process and increased dyeing cost.The traditional dyeing process of indigo dye on cotton fiber can't adapt to the contemporary dyeing process.How to reduce the use of water in the dyeing process,control the use of toxic chemicals,reduce the discharge of wastewater,achieve green and environmentally production were become the theme of sustainable development of the textile printing and dyeing industry.Silicon non-aqueous media as an environmentally friendly,non-toxic,easy-recycled dyeing media can simplify the dyeing process,improve the color rate of fabrics,and reduce the discharge of printing and dyeing wastewater.In the process of studying the dyeing performance of indigo/silicon non-aqueous media system,it is found that the rubbing fastness of indigo in silicon non-aqueous media is lower than that in traditional water bath.The dyeing temperature and the number of dyeing times were optimized for the cotton fiber in indigo/silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system.The rubbing fastness of cotton fiber after dyeing was tested,and the most suitable dyeing process parameters were determined.At the same time,some fixing agents on the market were screened to fix the cotton fiber,and the fixing mechanism of the dyed cotton fiber and fixing agent in the indigo/silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system was discussedBy comparing the rubbing fastness of indigo dye in silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system and traditional water bath dyeing system,it is found that the rubbing fastness of indigo in silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system is not as good as traditional water bath.On the basis of deep dyeing of cotton fiber in indigo/silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system,the dyeing process of cotton fiber with the best rubbing fastness was obtained:cotton fiber with liquid rate was 100%,m cotton(to Dry weight meter):m(leuco solution)=1:1,m cotton:mD5=1:30,dyeing time 60min,dyeing temperature was 70?,the number of dyeing times was once;The composition and properties of the three fixing agents were investigated by gel permeation chromatography,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,pyrolysis gas chromatography mass spectrometry and Zeta potential meter.The three fixing agents were all cationic polyether polyurethane fixing agent,in which the film forming property was good,and the fixing agent B had a relatively large molecular weight can significantly improve the rubbing fastness of cotton fiber;The three fixing agents did not react with the indigo dye and cotton fiber,mainly through intermolecular forces(hydrogen bonds and van der Waals forces).The rubbing fastness and the zeta potential indicated that the binding force of the fixing agent to the fiber in the water bath is affected by the cation:fixing agent B<fixing agent A<fixing agent C;The washing test of the fixing agent showed that the fixing agent B was inferior in wash durability.The fiber after fixing treatment can meet the requirements of factory production,and can realize the industrialization of dyed cotton fiber in indigo/silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system,which reflected the true green and high efficiency of silicon non-aqueous media dyeing system,and can also increase the variety of indigo dyed products,rich fabric style and so on.
