Lacquer tree is an important economic tree species in China.Lacquer wax and lacquer oil are derived from episperm and kernel of lacquer seeds respectively.Lacquer wax is widely used in the fields of painting, cosmetics, medicament and other industries.Lacquer oil has the functions of tonify energy and enrich the blood, wound healing, relieving cough and asthma, regulate the channels, relieve pain and lactagogue because of it is rich in linoleic acid and a variety of active ingredients.China is abundant in lacquer seed resources, but insufficient attention is paid to its processing and utilization, resulting in a large number of idle lacquer seeds. In recent years, organogels has attracted much attention as a new molecular functional material in food, cosmetics, medicine and other industries and it can be widely used in food, medicine, daily chemicals and other fields. In this paper, lacquer wax based lacquer oil organogel, prepared with lacquer oil as solvent and lacquer wax as gelling agent, was characterized by texture analyzer, rotational rheometer,X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimeter, polarization microscope for the analysis of gelation behaviour, rheological behavior, thermal properties and crystal properties. The main results are as follows:(1)Lacquer wax and lacquer oil are mixed under certain conditions can be successfully formed into organogel. The rate of released oil was decreased, the oil binding capacity was increased and the hardness and cohesiveness were increased with the increased of lacquer wax content in organogels. When the lacquer wax content was the critical gel concentration in organogel, the crystal formation time was longer than an hour and the time required for crystal formation time was decreased with the increased of lacquer wax content in organogels. The results of organogels storage stability showed that each concentration of organogel samples had good storage stability during one month of storage.Pearson correlation coefficient showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the lacquer wax contents in organogels and hardness or viscosity, and a significant negative correlation between lacquer wax contents in organogels and oil evolution rate;there was a significant negative correlation between hardness and oil evolution rate, and a significant positive correlation between hardness and viscosity.(2)The organogels were pseudoplastic fluid. The viscosity of the organogels and the pseudoplasticity increased with the increased of lacquer wax content in organogels. When the shear strain ranged from 0.01%to 0.1%,the organogels of 5%to 10%wax content were in the linear viscoelastic region. With the increased of wax contents, the critical stress value and dynamic yield stress value of gel system gradually increased, and the yield zone gradually widened. The organogels had a good tolerance to deformation rate, and the tolerance was stronger with the increased of lacquer wax content.(3)The addition of lacquer wax in organogels could changed the crystallization behavior of the organogels. The melting curves of pure lacquer wax had two peaks at 19.39? and 33.57?,and two melting peaks at 13.81 ? and 40.42?,respectively.The peak value of crystallization of organogels increased from 8.59? to 13.07?,and the melting point increased from 18.28? to 22.87?.The organogels formed more stable, and the crystallization of organogels were more orderly with the increased of lacquer wax contents.(4)The perfection of lattice network structure and the change of crystal form are the reasons for the changes of organogel properties, rheological properties and thermal properties of organogel systems. With the increased of lacquer wax content, the crystalline network unit of organogels system gradually became denser from relative thinning, and the size of crystallinity also increased gradually, and the distribution became uniform. The organogels of 7%to 10%content of lacquer wax was a crystal with small crystal size and fine network structure.
