The advancement of science and the development of the country have increasingly higher requirements for the performance of aerospace and nautical materials. It requires both the weight reduction of weapons and equipment and the protection capabilities. Therefore, how to embody the contradictory pair of performances on the same material at the same time has become the focus of national defense undertakings and research. The laminated structure has been widely used in the military field and civil life by virtue of the advantages of having both the mechanical properties of two materials. In view of this, this paper studies two types of wood and foam aluminum contact laminated structural materials, which are laminated on the basis of wood and foam aluminum boards.Through the combination of theoretical analysis and experimental research, the dynamic mechanical properties of the wood and foam aluminum laminate structure under transient loading are analyzed to study the penetration resistance of the laminate structure material. The micro-control electronic universal testing machine was used to perform static mechanical tensile and bending tests on the laminated structure of wood and foam aluminum, and the mechanical properties parameters such as tensile strength, flexural strength, yield strength, and elastic modulus of wood and foam aluminum were obtained. The Hopkinson pressure bar test device and image technology were used to perform dynamic loading tests on wood and foam aluminum,to obtain dynamic mechanical parameters of wood and foam aluminum, and to determine the dynamic stress-strain relationship and the relationship between strain rate and yield stress. An experimental study on transient loading of wood and foam aluminum laminated structural materials was carried out on a first-class light gas gun.By using rods with different head shapes to vertically impact two layers of wood and foam aluminum laminated structural materials with different thicknesses, and using a high-speed camera to collect the complete impact process, the initial velocity-remaining velocity relationship curve of rods and two types of rod impacts are obtained. The trajectory limit speed when stacking structural materials is analyzed, and the damage mode of wood and foam aluminum laminated structural materials is analyzed, and its anti-penetration properties are obtained. The new wood and foam aluminum laminated structural material studied in this paper has the characteristics of light weight structure under the same protective performance conditions, and provides reference for experimental research for the development of new laminated structural materials for protective equipment for lightweight design and improved impact resistance.
