SBR is a kind of rubber with good processability,wear resistance and aging resistance,but it has high heat generation,low strength and tear resistance.Eucommia rubber is a kind of material with good tear resistance and low heat generation,which is easy to work together with other synthetic rubber.By blending Eucommia rubber and styrene butadiene rubber,and adjusting the proportion of Eucommia rubber,it can be used in the design and manufacture of high-performance tires with high impact resistance,flex resistance,tear resistance,binding resistance,wear resistance,low heat generation and other characteristics.In the first part of this paper,the relationship between the structure and properties of different raw rubbers was studied.A series of characterization and tests of gutta percha rubber,natural rubber,polybutadiene rubber and styrene butadiene rubber were carried out.The relationship between molecular weight and molecular weight distribution,molecular structure,aggregation structure and properties of different raw rubber was studied.The relationship between the structure and mechanical properties of the blends was studied.With the increase of the number of gutta percha,the structure and change rule of the blend gutta percha and styrene butadiene rubber were characterized by AFM microscope.In the second part,the relationship between the structure and mechanical properties of SBR/Eucommia compound vulcanizate was studied.In this part,the vulcanization properties and tensile tearing properties of SBR/EUG compound vulcanizate were studied when the number of gutta percha rubber changed.After blending,the vulcanization rate of the blends was faster,the properties of the blends were improved obviously,and the dynamic mechanical properties of the blends were improved.In the third part,the properties of SBR/Eucommia nanocomposite vulcanizates reinforced with carbon black were compared with those of SBR and NR nanocomposite vulcanizates filled with carbon black.The results show that under the same curing formula and conditions,compared with SBR nanocomposites,SBR/EUG nanocomposites have better physical and mechanical properties.
