Silk fibroin proteins are widely used in biomedical applications due to their good mechanical properties,excellent degradability and low immunogenicities,such as tissue repair materials,drug delivery carriers and surgical sutures.Snail mucus contains allantoin,collagen,natural antibiotics,and other substances to promote the re pair of skin and is used in medical whitening repair products.In order to further expand the use of the snail mucus for biomedical purposes and the use of fibroin in medical repair materials,the surface and structural properties of the snail mucus and diaphragm were characterized.On the basis of characterization,SM/RSF gel films with mass fractions of 4wt%,6wt%,8wt%,and 10wt%were prepared by blending Silk fibroin protein(RSF)with Snail mucus(SM)in the control group.Finally,the spinnability of snail mucus was investigated by electrostatic spinning method,the analysis of the effect of spinning time and concentration of spinning effect.At the same time the snail mucus and preparation of silk fibroin blend SM/RSF composite fiber non-woven materials,SM:RSF blending ratio of 1:2,2:1 on nanometer fiber diameter and the influence of structure and different ways of dissolved preparation of silk fibroin affect the performance of composite fiber structure.The purpose of this study was to explore the possibility of blending gel film and nanocomposite fiber in medical biomaterials such as medical application,drug slow release and tissue engineering.The results showed that the basic composition of snail mucus in different parts was slightly different due to its different functions.Ventral mucus is sticky and has fibrous structure;A large number of salt ions appear in the dorsal mucus,which is closely connected with the lubrication of the snail body in and out of the shell.The main component of the snail epiphragm is calcium carbonate.The epiphragm is tightly packed and contains a fog-collecting structure to ensure adequate water content.It was found that the blending effect of silk fibroin protein and snail mucus increased with the increase of solution concentration,and the crystal structure in snail mucus remained unchanged,but the mechanical properties of the blend gel film were worse than that of pure silk fibroin gel film.Using electrostatic spinning can be the successful synthesis of different diameter of the snail mucus nanofibers and SM/RSF nanofiber,also found that SM/RSF nanofiber diameter associated with SM and RSF blending ratio,namely the SM proportion,the greater the nanofiber diameter the more thick,on the contrary,SM,the smaller the proportion get nanometer fiber diameter is thin,and relatively more stable thermal performance.The research in this paper proves that snail mucus can be blended with silk fibroin to prepare gel membrane and nanofiber nonwoven composite materials,which provides a reference for the development and application of snail mucus and silk fibroin in cosmetic skin care and biomedical repair materials.
