As a scarce resource, land resources are becoming more and more scarce with the development of economy and society, and it is particularly urgent to evaluate the land carrying capacity. The ecological footprint model is an important method for the evaluation of land carrying capacity. From the ecological point of view, considering the integrity of the regional ecological environment, the land carrying capacity can be evaluated more reasonably and accurately. This paper uses the combination of national hectares and provincial hectares to measure the ecological carrying capacity, depth of footprint, breadth of footprint, and three-dimensional ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province and various municipalities from2006 to 2017,and introduces land carrying capacity indicators from the model calculation results.System and Land Use Sustainable Development Index System,to study the land carrying status and sustainable status of Jiangxi Province and various cities.According to the trend of the ecological carrying capacity and ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province from2006 to 2017,the ecological status of Jiangxi Province from 2018 to 2030 is predicted, and corresponding suggestions are given based on the research results. The conclusion of the study is as follows:(1)From 2006 to 2017,the per capita ecological carrying capacity of Jiangxi Province showed a fluctuating upward trend, with the largest proportion of cultivated land, and the supply of land resources mainly came from cultivated land. The per capita ecological carrying capacity of each city shows a distribution pattern of "high in the middle and low around" centered on Yichun,Ji'an,Fuzhou and Yingtan. The difference of ecological carrying capacity between each city is obvious.(2)In 2006-2017,the depth of per capita footprint in Jiangxi Province hovered between1-2,showing a fluctuating upward trend. The footprints depth of forest land and grassland is 1,and the footprints depth of other land types are more than 1.The annual footprints of Nanchang,Yingtan,Ganzhou,Ji'an,Fuzhou and Shangrao are less than 2,and the rest are more than 2.From 2006 to 2017,the overall per capita footprint of Jiangxi Province showed a gradual upward trend. The cultivated land shows a trend of "increase first and then decrease",while the woodland and construction land are in line with the track of per capita footprintbreadth change.Ji'an City has the largest footprint, and Jiujiang City has the smallest footprint.(3)From 2006 to 2017,the per capita three-dimensional ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province showed a fluctuating upward trend, with the largest proportion of cultivated land, followed by fossil energy land, forest land, construction land, water area, and grass land. The spatial distribution pattern of cities at all levels is characterized by large footprints in the northwest and small footprints in the southeast.(4)From 2006 to 2017,the ecological footprint of Jiangxi Province has always been greater than the ecological carrying capacity, and it is in a deficit state, and it is increasing.Water area and fossil energy land are the main sources of ecological deficit. The deficit of each city is increasing, especially Xinyu. From 2018 to 2030,the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of Jiangxi Province are in the growth trend, but the growth rate of ecological footprint is larger than the ecological carrying capacity, which is in the state of deficit, and the deficit will continue to expand in the future.(5)During 2006-2017,the basic balance of land bearing capacity in Jiangxi province changed to slight overload, and the land bearing capacity continued to deteriorate. The land bearing status of each city shows the trend of "high in the northwest and low in the Southeast".The land bearing status of Ji'an and Fuzhou is better, and that of Jiujiang,Xinyu,Jingdezhen and Pingxiang is more serious. From 2006 to 2017,the sustainable index of land use in Jiangxi Province increased continuously, and the unsustainable state of land became more and more serious. The land unsustainable state of each city is the same as that of Jiangxi Province.Jiujiang City,Jingdezhen City,Xinyu City and Pingxiang City are the most serious, while Ji'an City and Fuzhou City are relatively better.
