The silica dispersant not only can improve the processing performance of silica filler,increase the mixing efficiency,reduce the mixing energy consumption,but can also improve the dispersion of silica.In this paper,three kinds of silica dispersants ZC?main component is fatty acid zinc soap?,EBS?main component is N,N-Ethylene Bis-stearamide?,DS?main component is polyethylene glycol 6000 distearate?made by our research group were selected to study the effects of three dispersants on the properties of silica-filled NR and silica-filled SSBR.Firstly,the effect of the dosage of three dispersants on the properties of silica-filled NR was studied.The experimental results show that in NR system,compared with the rubber that only added Si69,the addition of dispersant can obviously reduce the mixing energy consumption and Mooney viscosity,increase the scorch time(t10)and vulcanization rate,reduce the Payne effect and the average particle size of the aggregate,improve the dispersion of silica,and the mechanical properties have not decreased significantly,but with the increase of the dosage,vulcanization rate,silica dispersion and the mechanical properties will have a downward trend.When the dosage of dispersant is 2 phr,the comprehensive performance of the rubber is the best.Then,the effects of the three dispersants in NR system were compared at the optimal dosage.The experimental results show that the rubber containing ZC has the best dynamic mechanical properties.The rubber containing DS has the lowest mixing energy consumption and Mooney viscosity,and the best wear resistance.The rubber containing EBS has the highest vulcanization rate,the best dispersion of silica.The application effect of EBS in NR system is the best.Then the effects of the dosage of three dispersants on the properties of SSBR filled with silica were studied.The experimental results show that in SSBR system,compared with the rubber that only added Si69,the addition of dispersant can reduce the mixing energy consumption and Mooney viscosity,increase the vulcanization rate,weaken Payne effect,and improve the dispersion of silica,which is similar to that in NR system.The dispersant can also increase the t10 of the rubber,but the increase range is smaller than that of the NR system.Dispersant can also improve the mechanical properties and wet-skid resistance of the rubber,which is better than its application in NR system.The optimal dosage of dispersant is 2 phr.Finally,the effect of three dispersants in SSBR system was compared at the optimal dosage.The experimental results show that the rubber containing ZC only has small rolling resistance,and other properties are not outstanding.The rubber containing EBS has the highest vulcanization rate and the best dispersion of silica,mechanical properties and dynamic mechanical properties.The rubber containing DS has the lowest mixing energy consumption and Mooney viscosity,and has similar silica dispersion and mechanical properties to the rubber containing EBS.The application effect of DS in SSBR system is the best.
