As the main framework material of tire belt,it is very important for the development of rubber industry to explore the factors influencing the adhesion between the two.The rubber steel cord with both rigidity and softness and toughness is of great significance to improve the safety and service life of tire. The rubber steel cord of the radial belt of the radial tire was studied in this paper.Based on the experimental research, the analysis is based on the action rule and optimal ratio of HMMM(hexamethoxymethyl melamine)and different adhesion aids in the adhesion system;the adhesion rule of zinc oxide and cobalt salt to rubber steel wire was analyzed, and the proportion of ingredients in actual production was summarized;the influence of hot air aging and moisture aging on rubber steel cord samples was analyzed. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The rule of action between HMMM and different adhesion aids in the bonding system: First, the rule of action of traditional resorcinol and HMMM.Under the experimental formula, the bonding performance and effect are the best when the amount of HMMM is 4.5phr.And analyze the actual production ratio changes under the guidance of "Flory Gel Theory";The second is the action rule of resorcinol-formaldehyde resin SL3022 and HMMM.When the amount of HMMM is 3.0phr,the comprehensive performance of the sample is the best, and rubber steel cord samples with excellent static and dynamic adhesion properties can be obtained; The third is the action rule of the new adhesion aid PN760 and HMMM.When the dosage of HMMM is 3.0phr,the adhesion performance and effect are the best.(2)The effect of zinc oxide and cobalt salt on the adhesion performance: First, the amount of zinc oxide affects the adhesion performance of rubber steel wire. When the amount of zinc oxide is 5.0phr,the comprehensive physical properties and bonding properties of the sample are the best; The second is the influence of the cobalt salt,a special adhesion aid for rubber and steel cords,on the adhesion performance. When the amount of cobalt decanoate is 1.0phr,the sample has the best adhesion performance and the adhesion retention rate is higher in the fatigue test.(3)The effect of hot air aging and moisture aging on the adhesion performance: First, the effect of thermal aging temperature, the results show that the lower temperature failure occurs in the rubber matrix, and the higher temperature occurs in the adhesive interface layer; The second is the effect of heat aging time, the result shows that the increase in time of the steel cord has a decreasing trend; The third is the effect of moisture aging time, the result shows that the initial adhesion failure is due to the fracture of the C-C bond and the C-S bond in the vulcanized rubber, the latter period is due to the breakage of the Cu-S bond in the adhesive interface layer. In this paper, through the experimental research on the bonding performance of rubber steel cords, the systematic analysis of the action law of HMMM and different bonding aids, the effect of zinc oxide, cobalt salt and wet heat aging on the bonding performance,it is of great significance for improving the bonding performance of rubber steel wire and improving the safety and service life of tires.
