The health risk caused by occupational diseases in production projects has been a hot issue in labor production and human health, and the potential risk of occupational environment is an important topic in the field of environmental research. It is of great significance to establish a scientific and feasible quantitative evaluation method and define the risk level in order to carry out grading management. In this paper, the styrene production project of Daqing Petrochemical Company was taken as the research object, and the risk assessment method was comprehensively applied in the occupational hazard assessment of the production project by using the domestic and foreign research experience for reference and combining with the actual occupational health work in our country. After on-the-spot investigation and data analysis, the result of identification of occupational hazard factors shows that the physical factor existing in the study object is noise, chemical Risk Factors include benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene and styrene, which are two different attributes of health risk factors. In this paper, the risk assessment of physical factor noise was carried out by using our country's hazardous operation classification method, and the non-carcinogenicity and carcinogenicity risk assessment of chemical hazard factors were carried out by using the United States Environmental Protection Agency risk assessment model. The results of physical factor risk assessment show that the inspection posts in reaction zone and distillation zone belong to noise work posts, but they are not up to grade I noise work. The results of non-carcinogenic Risk Assessment of chemical hazard factors showed that the exposure of benzene to the inspection posts in the reaction zone was extremely high risk, ethylbenzene was low risk, toluene was negligible risk, and xylene was high risk, styrene is a negligible risk;benzene exposure to the patrol post in the rectification area is a very high risk, ethylbenzene is a medium risk, toluene is a negligible risk, xylene is a high risk and styrene is a low risk. The Risk Assessment of carcinogenic effect of benzene showed that there was a positive linear relationship between Risk of exposure to benzene and length of service, and the Risk of leukemia did not reach the upper limit until retirement, when the workers of the patrol inspection post in the rectification area have worked for 35 years, the acceptable risk level is reached. The analysis results of health risk prevention and control measures of chemical harmful factors show that the organic waste gas collecting device is added to the key equipment of pump room and rectification pump room in the reaction zone to shorten the workers' exposure time, the potential health risks can be reduced to varying degrees by the use of oil-free particulate matter masks with different filtering efficiencies, benzene gas alarms, tracking risk assessments, and regular occupational health check-ups.The results of this study can not only direct the project enterprises how to avoid health hazards, reduce the health risk of the population, but also provide valuable reference for the petrochemical industry health risk assessment.
