Continuous coal mining machine is a special coal mine equipment,and it is widely used in underground roadway excavation,open-pit coal mining and room-pillar mining.With the coal mining technology improved,the requirements for continuous mining machines become higher.During the process of cutting coalrock,the cutting arm drives the drum to move,and the picks directly apply the force to the coalrock which complet the cutting coalrock.During the whole process,the cutting arm of the continuous miner is subjected to greater stress,and the wastage of the picks directly contacted with coalrock is the largest.In this paper,the cutting part of the continuous miner is taken as the research object.The parametric model of the end disk is completed.The installation angle and lateral angle of the picks is simulated.Finally,the fatigue life of the picks and the installation position of the cutting arm were optimized.Therefore,the service life of the picks is effectively predicted,the installation position of the cutting arm is optimized,and the safe and reliable operation of the cutting unit is realized.The main research results are as follows:Use VB language and Solid Works software to parameterize the size of the picks,pick boots,pick box and end disk body,and establish the relationship between the size of each component.Researchers modify and automatically assemble models based on actual research.Improved research and development efficiency and greatly reduced the labor of researchers.The discrete element software EDEM is used to study and analyze the installation angle and lateral angle of the pick.The influences of the installation angle and lateral angle of the pick on the cutting resistance and specific energy consumption of cutting ratio are obtained.Finally,the minimum cutting resistance and cutting specific energy consumption are determined when the optimal mounting angle of the cutting teeth is 45 °.With the increase of the lateral angle,both the cutting resistance and cutting specific energy consumption showed a gradual increase.The workbench software was used to analysis the force of the rollers and picks.It is concluded that the stress on the pick tip and the pick box is greater.The Ncode module was used to read the static analysis results and apply the load spectrum and material properties for fatigue life analysis.The service life of the pick is about 2.4h,which effectively predicts the life of the picks.The cutting arm is divided into two parts: a flat cutting arm and an oblique cutting arm.The workbench software was used to analysis the force of the cutting process of the coalrock,and the installation position of the lifte cylinder on the cutting arm was optimized.The lifte cylinder is installed on the oblique cutting arm.While the installation position approaches the intersection of the flat cutting arm and the oblique cutting arm,the stress value of the oblique cutting arm first increases and then decreases,and the overall reduction Small trends.The lifting cylinder is installed on a flat cutting arm.The installation position has less influence on the stress of the cutting arm.It is determine that the minimum force on the cutting arm while satisfying the cutting height is that the lifting cylinder is installed at the intersection of the oblique cutting arm and the flat cutting arm.
