The clutch hub is the key part of the automobile clutch.The internal and external teeth on the side wall of the clutch hub plays an important role in transmitting torque and fixing and supporting other parts.The traditional forming methods of internal and external teeth mainly include casting,machining,punching,bulging,etc.The production cost of these processes is high,the production efficiency and material utilization rate are low,the forming quality is hard to be guaranteed,and it is difficult to meet the requirements of high precision,mass production and low cost in the market.The spinning process has the advantages of high material utilization rate,long die life,complete metal streamline,dense grain and high strength,which can realize the accurate forming of clutch hub parts with high precision and high performance.However,there are many process parameters involved in the spinning process of the internal and external teeth profile,the plastic deformation process of the preform in the spinning process is complex,and there is rebound phenomenon in the spinning part,which makes it difficult to guarantee the dimensional accuracy of the teeth profile during the spinning process,and it is easy to occur defects such as insufficient filling of addendum fillet and arc-shaped of the side wall and so on.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the law of plastic deformation in the spinning of internal and external teeth shape of clutch hub,realize the precise control of forming defects and teeth shape accuracy,and provide theoretical guidance for the spinning production of internal and external teeth shape parts.Based on the finite element software ABAQUS,a finite element numerical simulation model is established for the spinning process of internal and external teeth of the side wall of clutch hub,and verify its reliability.In this research,an automobile clutch hub is taken as the research object.By comparing the forming quality of the two feeding modes,the spinning process plan of internal and external teeth is determined,and the stress-strain and the size distribution of the internal and external teeth are studied.In view of the existing defects in the spinning process of the internal and external teeth parts,such as insufficient filling of addendum fillet and arc-shaped of the side wall and so on,the causes of the defects are analyzed and the improvement measures are put forward,and the influence of main technological parameters(clearance between the roller and the mandrel,rotation speed of mandrel,feed speed of roller,shaping pass time)on the internal and external teeth size of spinning parts(diameter of top circle of the external teeth,diameter of root circle of the internal teeth,wall thickness of the internal and external teeth,tooth angle)is obtained,and the selection basis of technological parameters is determined.Besides,the orthogonal test scheme is designed and the process test is carried out.The primary and secondary order of the influence of each process parameter on the teeth profile accuracy of the spinning parts(diameter deviation of top circle of the external teeth,wall thickness deviation and tooth angle deviation)is obtained,and the reasonable combination of technological parameters is determined.The results show that the equivalent stress value of the contact area between preform and roller and the "flash" area at the end of the spinning part is the largest.The axial strain of the material in the internal and external teeth shape area of the spinning part is almost zero.The strain state of the teeth top wall and teeth root wall of the spinning part is similar to the bending forming.The internal and external teeth shape wall thickness and teeth shape angle of the spinning part are evenly distributed along the axial direction,and the diameter of the internal and external teeth of the spinning part increases gradually from the bottom to the mouth.The imperfection of the fillet at the top of the teeth can be improved by adjusting the clearance between the roller and the mandrel,the camber of the side wall of the teeth can be improved by adjusting the profile of the roller,and the asymmetry of the thickness of the side wall of the teeth can be improved by changing the rotation direction of the mandrel.The result shows that the influence sequence of the comprehensive forming quality of spinning parts is: clearance between the roller and the mandrel > feed speed of the roller > shaping pass time > rotation speed of the mandrel.
