Global warming has become one of the hot issues that people around the world pay close attention to with the deepening of urbanization process, because it has a deep impact on people's living standards, food, housing and living standards. The main reason of global warming is the emission of carbon dioxide, most of which is caused by industrial production. The government's guidance on the green environmental protection and low carbon issues Tropism forces industrial production to change the original production mode and mode.On the other hand, since the reform and opening up,China has been continuously introducing foreign investment to domestic economic recovery and industrial upgrading, and each province has gradually started to take a new path of low-carbon and opening up driven by policies. On this basis, this paper focuses on the specific relationship between foreign direct investment and industrial carbon emissions, and specifically selects Jiangsu Province, which is very eye-catching in both aspects,to analyze the relationship between foreign investment and industrial carbon emissions in the process of economic development in Jiangsu Province in the past two decades, and to solve the problem of how to develop next.Through descriptive analysis of the level of FDI and carbon emission in Jiangsu Province,a preliminary development trend is obtained.By combining theoretical analysis with empirical analysis, the theoretical analysis is based on the "environmental shelter hypothesis",environmental Kuznets curve and Kaya identity, followed by the analysis of the influencing factors of industrial carbon emission Scholars' research focuses on the impact mechanism of FDI on industrial carbon emissions in four aspects: scale analysis, structure analysis, technology analysis and environmental regulation effect. In empirical analysis, the influencing factors and mechanisms obtained from theoretical analysis are used as variables and equations respectively, and empirical analysis includes total equation, scale effect equation, structure effect equation In the end,it verifies the specific relationship between the two dimensions of Jiangsu Province and the necessity of developing low-carbon economy. It is also a research method that combines quantitative analysis and descriptive analysis.Based on the above,it provides suggestions for the existing problems and future development of Jiangsu Province. In the past, most of the scholars' researches on related issues were focused on a certain region, but few on Jiangsu Province, which is a large industrial province and a large foreign-funded province.Secondly, there are many researches on the relationship between FDI,environment and economic growth, while there are few researches on the relationship between FDI and carbon emissions,so it is rare to studythe relationship between FDI and industrial carbon emissions In terms of research methods, many scholars also adopt different research methods, but few adopt simultaneous equation system model for regression. Therefore, the above is the innovation of this paper. From the perspective of academic research, this paper can enrich the relevant theoretical research in theory, especially for some blank research in the past, which makes a very important supplement. From the practical sense,it can also draw a specific and complex relationship between the two,and can provide suggestions for the development of low-carbon economy and more efficient use of foreign capital in Jiangsu Province from multi-dimensional and multi angle.
