Blasting Warheads hit a lot of target types including air, ground, underground, water and underwater targets, and is most regularly used to destroy ground targets. But the experiment related to blasting is hardly to control, dangerous and it costs a lot,so the frequency of experiment is quite limited. And computer-aided engineering(CAE)can provide a good solution for this kind of difficulties. The finite element method is the main method of CAE,and finite element analysis has become a substitute for a large number of physical experiments as the numerical "Virtual Experiment." In this paper, software Autodyn and ABAQUS are used to simulate the process of blasting warheads. In this paper, four explosions based on HMX were simulated by Autodyn software. The pressure, temperature, density and velocity of the explosives under the same conditions were compared and analyzed. The results are compared with the theoretical calculation, and it is found that the simulation results are in good agreement with the calculated results. The pressure of the Autodyn simulation is then loaded on the 45 th steel target as a load in the ABAQUS simulation.By using the way of changing the size of the load we approximate the simulation of the target damage under different distances. The location of the target first occurrence of plastic deformation and yield fracture is also predicted.
