The permanent magnet induction heater is mainly used for preheating aluminum rods before extrusion,and it possesses many advantages such as low energy consumption,high energy efficiency,uniform heating,clean and environmental protection,and has been rapidly developed in recent years.Heating the aluminum rods by the permanent magnet induction heating method can form a temperature gradient in the longitudinal direction of the aluminum rod,and at the same time,due to the skin effect of the current,the aluminum rods can form a temperature gradient in the radial direction,thereby achieving isothermal extrusion of the aluminum rods.In this paper,a new combined heating method is proposed.At the same time,a new permanent magnet induction heater is designed to improve the heating speed while ensuring the advantages of permanent magnet induction heating,so as to improve its production efficiency to adapt to industrial production.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Design the permanent magnet induction heater.Firstly,by analyzing several typical induction heaters in the industry,the XWTMM permanent magnet induction heater is designed according to the specifications of aluminum rods and related parameters,and the feasibility and superiority of XWTMM permanent magnet induction heater is analyzed at the same time.On this basis,a method is proposed to adopt induction heater to preheat,and then use permanent magnet induction to continue heating to improve the heating efficiency of the aluminum rods.(2)Establish the electromagnetic field and temperature field model of the permanent magnet induction heater.Based on the electromagnetic theory and thermal theory,it constructed the analysis models of the permanent magnet induction heater performing electromagnetic field,temperature field.At the same time,the COMSOL numerical simulation of permanent magnet heating is summarized.(3)Analyze the permanent magnet induction heating process and results using COMSOL software.Firstly,the permanent magnet induction heater solid model is established,and the solid model is basically defined,meshed and loaded.Then analyze the results.(4)Analyze the influence of different factors on permanent magnet induction heating.Analyze the influence of different reciprocating linear motion rates of aluminum rods,different gap ratios and different permanent magnet strength and the speed law of reciprocating linear motion of aluminum rods on the permanent magnet induction heating,and then obtain reasonable heating parameters for reference.
