With the increasingly severe pollution of the water environment and people's increasing expectations of the living environment,the national and regional discharge requirements for domestic sewage treatment plants are gradually increasing.Under the relevant regional planning policy requirements and in line with improving the quality of water environment,the upgrad of the original CASS process of a sewage plant in Foshan will be carried out,and the implementation of the standards first class type B of<Discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant>(GB18918-2002),to promote the standards first class type A and local standards of Guangdong province<discharge limits of water pollutants>(DB44/26-2001)the stricter standard.This Sewage Treatment Plant belongs to the BOT(build-operate-transfer)operation mode.As an enterprise needs to consider the overall investment in the reconstruction project,cost control,shorten the production stop time,be easy to maintain,meet the standard of water discharge,and accept the degree of government departments,and choose a less investment,low cost,reliable operation,highly degree of automation of the standard process is in line with the interests of the company,the government,and the masses.The CASS process is used for the secondary treatment of the plant,and the design scale is 20,000 m~3/D.Among the indicators of the effluent,SS have not been able to meet first class type B of the?Discharge standard of pollutants for municipal wastewater treatment plant?(GB18918-2002)in some time.Emission standards require that other major pollutant indicators can be achieved,but cannot meet the emission requirements under the new standard.Therefore,this article will consider the influent/effluent quality,process operating conditions,land use conditions and other factors,through the selection of literature,graphic comparison and other methods to choose the final decision to use efficient settling tank+precise filter+disinfecting tank;At the same time,by increasing the capacity of the pool in order to achieve better biochemical effects,reduce the load of the deep processing unit;discuss the basic design data,layout and financial estimates of the program.At the same time,the paper further monitors the quality of effluent after the upgrading of the standard,analyses and evaluates the main pollutant index and removal rate of effluent.On the basis of determining the dosage of PAC and PAM were 25mg/L and 0.2mg/L,the average effluent COD concentration was 13.9mg/L,the removal rate was 94.8%;the effluent SS concentration average was 3.9mg/L,the removal rate was 98.1%;the average effluent concentration of total phosphorus was 0.18mg/L,the removal rate was 96.1%;the average effluent total nitrogen concentration was 2.79mg/L,the removal rate was 88%;the average effluent ammonia nitrogen concentration was 1.22mg/L,and the removal rate was 93%;the number of Fecal Coliform Group was stably controlled within 1000/L under the condition of 3.8mg/L of sodium hypochlorite(10%effective concentration);the monitoring results showed that the concentration of pollutants in the effluent was stable and up to the standard.It is hoped that this project will provide some reference value for the selection of upgrading process for similar municipal wastewater treatment plants in South China or in China.
