High temperature environment not only threatens the physical and mental health,but also reduces the quality of life and the work efficiency.Therefore,personal temperature protection equipment against high temperature is of significant importance.The water-absorbent resin has good water absorbency,water retention and cold storage.In this paper,based on the heat balance theory and their heat and moisture properties,the water-absorbent resin,fabrics and the cooling garments were designed and produced,and a comprehensive evaluation of cooling effect was carried out.The experimental results are as follows:(1)The infrared tests show that the water-absorbent resin contains an amide group,and the maximum liquid absorption ratios of the water-absorbing resin in deionized water and acid-base simulated sweat are 265g/g,52g/g and 50g/g,respectively.The main influences of the liquid absorbing ability of the water absorbing resin is to simulate the concentration of sodium ions in the sweat.The higher the concentration,the worse the liquid absorbing ability.The temperature only affects the liquid absorbing rate of the water absorbing resin,thus has fewer influences on the maximum liquid absorbing ratio.The water absorption resin still absorbs more than 87%after multiple times of water absorption.The lower the pre-water absorption temperature,the more water absorption,the better the cooling effect.The temperature and pressure affect the water retention performance of the water absorbing resin.The higher the temperature,the higher the pressure,the water retention the worse the performance;Analyze and calculate the heat balance of human body heat production and heat dissipation,and establish the heat balance equation of human body wearing cooling clothing.According to the test environment,each parameter in the equation is determined,and the calculation formulaof the heat balance equation is obtained.Cooling clothing needs to absorb 280.85 KJ of heat for 2hours to ensure the body temperature is constant.It is necessary to use 47.3 g of water-absorbent resin with a pre-water absorption of 1%(about 2.65 g/g)in order to completely absorb the heat emitted by the human body.(3)The cooling garment was designed as 3 layers,which are the inner layer,cooling layer and outer layer.The inner layer and outer layer are all made of single-guide wet fabrics.The cooling garment adopts round neckline,closed push button threshold and curve.Shoulder line,fit sleeves,and closed side seams.(4)Comprehensive evaluation of the cooling effect and comfort of the cooling garment,the pre-absorbent volume of 2%,3% and 5% of the semi-filled cooling garment demonstrated good cooling effects and comfort,and accelerates the sweat while providing the cooling capacity.Effective evaporation,maintaining the surface temperature of human skin is relatively stable.The cooling clothing showed good gas permeability,low wet feeling,low stuffiness and heat feeling.The pre-water absorption are 2% and 3%.The semi-filled and lowered temperature clothing is relatively lighter in weight and easier to use.
