| Resin adsorbents are widely used in the treatment of dye wastewater due to their good adsorption abilities,renewable,no secondary pollution and excellent mechanical properties.Acrylic resin was synthesized by UV-curing and modified in order to improve the adsorption capacities to dye wastewater.The structure and property of acrylic resin was characterized by fourier transform infrared(FTIR),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),and used as an adsorbent of methylene violet(MV),methylene blue(MB)and methylene orange(MO)in wastewater.Adsorption properties were investigated including initial dye concentration,solution pH,adsorption time and temperature.Adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherms were used to study the adsorption mechanism of acrylic resin on dyes.The main research results are as follows:1.Synthesis of poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin by UV-curing technology and the resin has good thermal stability and adsorption.Poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin was used for the adsorption of MV and MB dyes.The experimental results show that the optimum solution pH of the resin for dyes MV and MB is 8.The equilibrium adsorption capacity of MV and MB on resin were 376mg·g-1 and768mg·g-11 at 298K.The adsorption of MV and MB on resin followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model and isothermal adsorption process in line with Langmuir model.In addition,poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin can selectively adsorb MV and MB rather than MO in the separation experiments of MV-MO and MB-MO mixed dyes.The result shows poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin can successfully separate the mixed dyes.2.The poly(MAA-co-AM)resin was prepared by UV-curing using methacrylic acid(MAA)and acrylamide(AM)as comonomer has good adsorption properties.Poly(MAA-co-AM)resin was used for the adsorption of MV dye.The experimental results show that the optimum solution pH of the resin for MV is 8.The equilibrium adsorption capacity of MV on resin was 487mg·g-1 at 298K.The adsorption of MV on resin followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model and isothermal adsorption process in line with Langmuir model.In addition,poly(MAA-co-AM)resin can selectively adsorb MV and MB rather than MO in the separation experiments of MV-MO and MB-MO mixed dyes.The result shows poly(MAA-co-AM)resin can successfully separate the mixed dyes.3.In order to enhance mechanical properties and adsorption properties of the resin,halloysite nanotubes(HNTs)was added to MAA solution.The HNTs/poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)composite resin was synthesized by UV-curing.HNTs/poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin was used for the adsorption of MV and MB dyes.The experimental results show that the optimum solution pH of the resin for dyes MV and MB is 8.The equilibrium adsorption capacity of MV and MB on resin were 279mg·g-1 and 1006mg·g-11 at 298K.The adsorption of MV and MB on resin followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model and isothermal adsorption process in line with Langmuir model.In addition,HNTs/poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin can selectively adsorb MV and MB rather than MO in the separation experiments of MV-MO and MB-MO mixed dyes.The result shows HNTs/poly(MAA-co-EGDMA)resin can successfully separate the mixed dyes. |
