As a power device that converts mechanical energy of rotating motors into fluid kinetic energy and pressure energy,the centrifugal pump has a wide range of applications in national industries and lives of people.Numerical simulations of the internal flow-field of the centrifugal pump is important for understanding the internal flow field details of the centrifugal pump,guiding the design,optimizing the parameters,and saving energy.Based on the Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)method,this paper conducts numerical research on CZ50-315 volute centrifugal pump,aiming to understand the internal flow law of centrifugal pump.The 3D modeling and CFD calculation meshing of the centrifugal pump were completed based on SolidWorks and ICEM CFD software respectively.In terms of modeling,the auxiliary line constructions is mainly constructed by CAD software for construct the auxiliary line,and then imported into the 3D software for surface construction and other operations.The volute part is constructed by three-dimensional software through stretching and other operations,according to the establishment.The model uses ANSYS Workbench and ICEM CFD to complete the extraction of the runner and grid division.Research on different CFD models and the influence of Fluent software solution settings on flow field prediction results are completed.Analysis of head setting in solution setting,mesh independence and turbulence model sensitivity were carried out.The experiment on measuring the head was carried out for the centrifugal pump.Characteristics of the centrifugal pump were verified by comparing experimental results with simulation results.Pressure and velocity changes of the centrifugal pump flow-field under rated conditions,different impeller speeds and different flow rates were analyzed.Under the rated working conditions,centrifugal pump works most smoothly and the flow field is stable,which builds the best working condition of the centrifugal pump.The experimental results show that numerical simulations and experimental errors are the smallest under rated conditions.Base on the above-mentioned statistics,we carry on a successful operation of the fluid optimization of SEA petrochemical pump.The method and results of centrifugal pump fluid simulation proposed in this paper are of great significance for revealing the internal law of centrifugal pump,guiding design and further optimization,and providing reference for other impeller machinery.
