| Knurled rollers are one of important parts in textile machinery and its geometrical parameters directly determine the working quality of spinning machine.Knurled rollers have six geometrical parameters.At present,most weaving industries inspect the rollers via manual process,and the inspecting tools are different kinds of dial indicators and vernier calipers.Thus,the inspecting precision relies on the operation of inspector,the method is inefficient and labor intensive.This project successfully developed a inspecting and sorting system on parameters of rollers by integrating different kinds sensors,making use of various inspecting methods and advance industrial vision measurement technology.Its controlling core comprises a PLC and an industrial computer.This system achieves automatic,visual,high-speed inspection on six geometrical parameters of rollers which includes circular radial run-out,radial run-out of guide pillar,end face run-out of guide hole,end face run-out of guide pillar,length,Chamfer R on the root bottom.In addition,it can sort rollers according to the inspecting results.In this paper,research is done to develop an inspecting system on geometrical parameters of rollers according to application requirements in the industrial field and the present inspecting situation.In the measurement of radial run-out and end face runout,positioning method with supporting of double V blocks is adopted.The error and uncertainty of this measuring model are also analyzed.Relative measurement is adopted in measuring the length of rollers.By comparing the difference between rollers and the standard length,the length of rollers is obtained.A backlight imaging visual measurement is adopted in measuring the chamfer of rollers.In order to eliminate the influence from positional accuracy and machining burs on circular arc extraction process,a method based on Hough algorithm and inflexion points detection is proposed.A general scheme and working process of this system are developed and research is done about key techniques in some important parts of the system such as transporting part,inspection part and sorting part.A human-computer interaction interface and a data management software are developed and practical debugging in industrial field is finished.The inspecting repetition about the six geometrical parameters and whole system is tested through experiments.The experiment proves that this inspecting and sorting system can satisfy the inspecting accuracy and measuring repetition.It can achieve automatic,accurate and reliable inspection and sorting of rollers,and its deviation rate is less than 2%compared with manual inspecting method.For measuring the radial run-out of rollers,its measuring repetition is less than 0.001mm;For measuring the end-face run-out of rollers,its measuring repetition of is less than 0.001mm;For measuring the length rollers,its measuring repetition is less than 0.01mm;For measuring the chamfer of roller,its measuring repetition is less than 0.001 mm. |
