For the purpose of overcoming the deficiency of fabricating ceramic toner by means of pulverization,in this paper,resin coated cobalt blue pigment,resin coated CoAl2O4 pigment and charge control agen?CCA?,and resin coated PY53,charge control agent?CCA?and wax multi-component composite particles for ceramics toner were prepared by solvent-nonsolvent method and suspension polymerization method,respectively.The structure and composition of the composite particles were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy?FTIR?,energy dispersive spectrometer?EDS?,different thermal gravity?TGA?.Biological microscope,laser particle size analyzer,differential scanning calorimeter and color-eye automatic differential colorimeter were used to characterize morphology,particle size,thermal properties and color properties of the composite particles.The results of the study could be summarized as follows:The resin coated cobalt blue pigment was successfully prepared by solvent-nonsolvent method.The morphology and particle size of the composite particles were observed by biological microscope,and when the amount of PVA was 0.5g,the ratio of the solvent phase to the non-solvent phase was 1:5,the amount of the resin was 5%of the pigment,and the deionized water was used as the non-solvent phase,the prepared composite particles had a uniform particle size and better morphology.Styrene-butyl acrylate resin encapsulated CoAl2O4 pigment and CCA for blue ceramic toner was synthesized via suspension polymerization.The characterization results of scanning electronic microscopy,laser particle size analyzer and colorimeter showed that the composite particles have good sphericity,the smaller particle size and narrower size distribution when the stirring speed,dosages of PVA,CoAl2O4 and CCA were 400rpm,1.0g,1.5g and 0.05g,respectively.The colorimetric properties of the composite particles are related with the content and dispersion of the pigment particles,the blue value?b*?and the color saturation?C*?of the composite particles increased with the CoAl2O4 content,when the amount of CoAl2O4 pigments was 1.5g,the color performance was the best.In addition,the colormetric parameters of the calcinated composite sample?at 1000°C?were better than those of the sample before calcination,and almost the same as those of the uncoated CoAl2O4 pigment.Styrene-butyl acrylic resin coated PY53,CCA and wax as yellow ceramic toner by suspension polymerization.The researches showed that the conversion of monomer was proportional to the amount of initiator and inversely proportional to the amount of PY53pigment.When the shear speed was 6000 rpm,the amount of PVA and SDS were 0.5g and0.015g,respectively,smaller particle size,narrow particle size distribution and smooth sphericity of composite particles were obtained.When the amount of pigment was 0.5-2.0g,the morphology of the composite particles was smooth microspheres and the particle size was uniform.When the amount of pigment increased to 2.5g,the morphology of the composite particles was irregular,the surface was rough,the particle size was not uniform,and wide particle size distribution.Increasing the amount of the pigment had little effect on the glass transition temperature of the composite particles,and the Tg value fluctuated around 56.2°C.As the content of the coated PY53 increased,the L*value of the composite particles decreased,the yellow value?b*?and the color saturation?C*?of the composite particles became larger.In addition,when the amount of PY53 pigments was 1.5g,the color performance was the best.
