Baolige oil field is now in the late development phase with middle-high water cut,so it is challenging to maintain a stable production due to some problems, such as rapidly ascending water cutting, hard swabbing and interbedded interference. This study conducts some effective research work,on the basis of geological and development characteristics of Baolige oil field, including oil reservoir description, remaining oil distribution, optimizing producer-injector grid, etc.,which is significant to improve the reserve recovery degree. This study conducts stratigraphic correlation by taking use of data of drilling, seismic, logging, coring and testing, and carries out detailed structure delineation. It also conducts some reservoir description research work including sedimentary microfacies, oil sand bodies, flow unit division on the basis of log reinterpretation, effective thickness review and detailed structure delineation.PetrelTM is employed to construct the 3D geological model for digitalization of the oil reservoir. The remaining oil potential and distribution is analyzed by reestimating the reserves, numerical simulating in combination with performance of the oil reservoir. This study carries out research work on major oil reservoirs of B19 faulted blocks to analyze their structures, reservoirs and oil sand bodies to classify the type of remaining oil and identify the remaining oil distribution. On the basis of the above work, the plans are made to adjust the producer-injector grid and treat the interbedded interference in the purpose to control production decline, keep the stable production and improve the flooding effectiveness. So this paper has an important guiding significance for old oil fields to conduct detailed oil reservoir description and improve the development effectiveness at later development phase.
