According to the action mechanism of filtrate reducer for drilling fluid,the characteristics of graphene oxide and fundamental principle of macromolecule structural design,the graphene oxide/polymer membrane filtrate reducer for drilling fluid GOJ-1 was developed.The reaction conditions are as follows:the mass ratio of AM/AMPS/DMDAAC/VAC is 6:3:1.5:2.5,the reaction temperature is 60?,the initiator dosage is 0.3%of monomer quality,the dosage of graphene oxide is 0.32%,the monomer concentration is 22.5%.Infrared spectral analysis showed the newly developed graphene oxide/polymer membrance filtrate reducer product meets the requirement of the designed molecular structure.The relative molecular weight is about 3.63×10~5 in the viscosity measurement.Thermal analysis showed that the degradation of GOJ-1 is about 330?.TEM and Zeta potential measurement indicated the polymer is attached to the surface of modified graphene oxide in GOJ-1,which increases the electronegativity of graphene oxide and dispersion stability.Film-forming experiment showed that the newly developed GOJ-1 can quickly form a dense film by adsorption.Compared with film-forming agent CMJ-1 and LPF,GOJ-1 has the better inhibition and anti-collapse performance.The filter cake formed by GOJ-1 not only has the lower permeability,but also the better stress tolerance,immersion stability,abrasion resistance,compressibility.The performance test of GOJ-1 in drilling fluid showed that the GOJ-1 has the outstanding capacity of depressing filter loss in high temperature.It also has the excellent heat-resistance,salt-tolerance and calcium-tolerance.The rheological properties is stable before and after aging at 150?.Besides,GOJ-1 is compatible with common drilling fluid filtrate reducer,viscosifier,plugging agent,and so on.The micro-mechanism of the newly developed membrane filtrate reducer agent GOJ-1 was studied via adsorption experiment,Zeta potential measurement,particle size analysis,wettability analysis and SEM analysis.The results indicated that,GOJ-1 can absorb onto the surface of clay by acylamino,hydroxyl produced by hydrolysis of esters,and cationic group.The hydrophilic sulfonic group improves the electronegativity of clay and the thickness of hydration shell.Therefore,the colloid stability of drilling fluid clay particles is strengthened and the size grading of clay particles is improved,which contribute to forming the tight cake.The adsorption group in the modified GO sheet improved its adsorption ability on the shale around wellbore,which contributes to forming integrated membrance structure and reducing filter cake permeability.Meanwhile,that improves the stress tolerance and the abrasion resistance.Based on the newly developed membrane filtrate reducer GOJ-1,a set of membrance-forming water-based anti-collapse drilling fluid was optimized.This system had an excellent wall building property and rheology property.In addition,it showed good sealing,inhibitive,anti-sloughing and lubricating performance.
