As the intangible cultural heritage of traditional arts,embroidery is the outstanding traditional culture of China and the crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese people,reflecting the aesthetic trend of different times.The spread of embroidery to today shows that its artistic characteristics are loved by people in different times in history,and it has a high aesthetic value,which is also worth our understanding,appreciation and research today.In the upsurge of protecting intangible cultural heritage,embroidery has developed to a certain extent,but up to now,there has been a serious convergence phenomenon in embroidery in various regions.Therefore,this paper uses the comparative method to study the embroidery species in different regions,through which the artistic characteristics and regional characteristics of the embroidery species can be more clear,and the creativity and imagination of the people in various regions can be brought into play It is of great significance to protect the diversity of embroidery culture,inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.The research object of this paper is Hunan embroidery and Hubei Han Embroidery.By means of on-the-spot investigation,literature review,image analysis,comparative research,etc.,through interviews with embroidery inheritors and a large number of data collection,a detailed and in-depth comparative study is carried out.The research contents of this paper are divided into three parts:(1)to investigate the historical changes and social living environment of Hunan embroidery and Hubei Han Embroidery from the historical perspective;(2)From the perspective of aesthetics,this paper deeply discusses the artistic characteristics of Hunan embroidery and Hubei Embroidery,studies their selection of materials,colors,composition and technological materials,and analyzes and summarizes the similarities and differences between them in artistic style;(3)through the preliminary investigation and research,this paper summarizes and analyzes the causes of the similarities and differences between Hunan embroidery and Hubei Embroidery,and can better preserve the two kinds of embroidery by comparison and analysis This paper further discusses the inheritance and development of traditional embroidery under the framework of Hunan embroidery,Hubei Embroidery and intangible cultural heritage.
