Research On The Effect Of Environmental Regulation On Green Technology Innovation

Since the reform and opening up 40 years ago,China's economy has achieved rapid development,but with the emergence of many environmental problems.The dilemma between environmental protection and economic growth has always been faced by various countries in promoting social development.How to deal with the relationship between environmental protection and economic development is an urgent problem in China.The research on environmental regulation and green technology innovation has always been a hot topic in the academic circle,but there is no unified conclusion.What is the relationship between environmental regulation and green technology innovation for micro enterprises?First of all,this paper focuses on sorting out the literature related to environmental regulation and enterprise green technology innovation,government subsidies and enterprise green technology innovation,and the relationship between environmental tax and green technology innovation,and sorting out the main research views and conclusions.Secondly,taking government subsidies and environmental taxes as intermediary variables,this paper analyzes the influence mechanism of environmental regulation and green technology innovation,and puts forward the hypothesis in this paper.Finally,this paper selects panel data of listed manufacturing companies from 2010 to 2018,constructs a mediating effect model,and empirically tests the transmission mechanism of the impact of government subsidies and environmental taxes on enterprises' green technology innovation by using the fixed effect method.Through theoretical research and empirical analysis,the following conclusions are drawn: there is a significant negative correlation between environmental regulation and enterprise green technology innovation;Government subsidy has a positive moderating effect between environmental regulation and enterprise green technology innovation.The transmission path of "environmental regulation-environmental tax-green technology innovation" has been verified.In addition,from the perspective of the impact of enterprise heterogeneity,environmental regulations have different impacts on green technology innovation of manufacturing enterprises.State-owned enterprises are more sensitive toenvironmental policies,and environmental regulations have more negative impacts on green technology innovation of state-owned enterprises.The mediating effect of government subsidy is established in state-owned enterprises,while the mediating effect of environmental tax is not effectively established in enterprises with two attributes.This paper enriches the relationship between environmental regulation and green technology innovation at the micro level and further explores the transmission path of environmental regulation affecting green technology innovation.According to the conclusion,this paper puts forward some policy Suggestions to provide some reference for the realization of environmental protection and economic development.First,the government should reasonably implement environmental regulation policies to reduce the regulatory intensity of the manufacturing industry.Second,the government should better play the positive regulating role of government subsidies and improve the subsidy supervision mechanism.Third,give full play to the advantages of preferential tax policies.Fourth,enterprises should improve their awareness of environmental protection.
