Level instrument is a very common tool for plane measurement,and it is usually used in mechanical processing,construction and so on.There are two kinds of commonly used level instrument at present,they are bubble level and laser level.Bubble level’s technology is maturely,but its measuring method is depending on human eyes judging if the bubble in the observation level is in the middle to get the measure result.This kind of method has great error and cannot show the dip angle.Electronic level is a kind of digital instrument which based on SCM and developed in recent years.These levels’ measurement accuracy is high,but it can only show the dip angle value,and which cannot be calibrated to a horizontal plane.To solve the above shortcomings,this paper designs an ARM based self-balancing level.The level uses the single axis inclination sensor SCA60 C and the step motor to achieve self-calibration and high accuracy of angle adjustment in a large angle range,which based on the function of conventional bubble level and laser level.When the surface of the placement is not flat,it can be self-balanced.And the measurement results will be displayed on the phone in real time after measuring.The LEVEL APP can provide a platform for the user to enter the custom angle.When level’s setting complete,the laser LED will give a horizontal reference line on the flat.To achieve a better user experience,level provides voice prompts through the whole operation process.The ARM based self-balancing level is intelligent,portable,economical,and can fully meet the needs of users.After system testing,the target functions of level are basically actualized.The level has accurate measurement,stable operation,and has a good use effect. |
