Research On College Teaching Building Design In Southern China Based On The Concept Of Ecological Architecture

With the increasing deterioration of the ecological environment and the severe resources shortage,eco-architecture comes to the focus of the architecture industry.The sustainable development in the architecture industry must be enforced asin China some cities have witnessed serious environmental pollution for the dense population and the large consumption of resources and energies.The expansion of the university enrollment and the college town construction reveals a lot of problems in designs of teaching buildings.The optimization of teaching building design based on the ecological concept of sustainability helps prolong their service life,improve the amenity of the indoor environment,reduce the environmental pollution and material waste,as well as strengthen teachers' and students' consciousness of sustainability and economy.Moreover,it benefits the creation of the cultural atmosphere in universities and the interaction with surroundings,and the shaping of unique campus cultures and regionalism.This paper aims to figure out the ecological method,applied to the teaching building design,considering common design methods of ecological architecture,the functional qualities of teaching buildings and regional climate characteristics in the South.Besides,some feasible ideas about the development of teaching buildings are being put forward as well.This paper consists of five chapters,just as follows:Chapter one: this chapter illustrates the backgrounds and significance of the research,and put forward the research object and methods,by analyzing the comparable development statuses of the domestic and overseas eco-buildings and ecological college teaching building design.Chapter two: on the basis of theories of ecology and sustainable development,it discusses about their influence on eco-building design,and also analyses the concept and principle of eco-building design.Chapter three: considering the current status and existing problems of college teaching buildings in southern China,the key points of ecological building design are put forward,according to the analysis of both the development history of college teaching building in southern China and the southern climate features.Chapter four: specific methods of ecological college teaching building design in southern China are proposed,based on the following aspects: 1)general design;2)individual design;3)energy-saving design of outer envelope building;4)eco-building materials,and the analysis and illustration of some particular problems by referring to relevant cases.Chapter five: it analyses some typical practice cases of ecological college teaching buildings in southern China and contemplate the development prospect of ecological teaching building.
