Research On Strategy&Method Of Ecological Architecture Design In Southwest Mountainous Areas In Beijing

Currently, we have to face the fact of resources shortage, environmentdeterioration and also people’s rising requirements of a more comfortable life.Meanwhile, building industry has been a heavy burden to the society and theenvironment since its appear. Therefore, the research on strategies andmethods of ecological architecture design becomes the way out of sustainablebuilding. It is especially important to such an international city like Beijing,of which the marginal areas still have a good environment, and it is sure to bepractically meaningful.Based on the specific climate zoning-cold area (area ⅡA) and specialmicroclimate of river valley, by taking Beijing Shidu training center as mystudy model, I carry on the research on the strategies and methods ofecological architecture design.In this paper, the research of ecological building design is divided intotwo parts--strategies and methods. Through deepgoing of the project andintrospection of the process, I come up to some practical experience in thestrategies and methods of ecological architecture design.Firstly, It gives an overview of the significance, methods andframeworks of strategies and methods in ecological building design.Then, it analyses the interaction among the climate background,architecture type and people’s demand to draw a result, which can give adviceand guidance to the design.Ultimately, it summarizes the strategies and methods of ecologicalarchitecture design, which result in the final work.
