Pile foundations are mainly subjected to vertical loads and horizontal loads.As wind load,earthquake force,water load and other horizontal force are very bigger for high-rise buildings,factories deepwater ports,power plants and other civil engineering,these horizontal loads must be considered as the primary factor,even as the control loads at the design stage.Studies of load-carrying properties of the pile horizontal loads are lagged behind compared with that of the vertical loads.Under horizontal loads,the relationship between the pile and soil is complex due to the inhomogeneity of pile soil,so this paper is of important practical significance for the study of concrete filling pile horizontal load-bearing characteristics.In this paper,the current research status of pile horizontal load-bearing characteristics in the domestic and overseas is summarized,the work properties of piles under horizontal loads are introduced,and the theory of pile horizontal load-bearing characteristics is explained,at the same time,the advantages and disadvantages of various theoretical calculation methods and application scopes are pointed out.Based on the pile test project of a power plant,the bearing characteristics of the pile are analyzed through the experimental data.To better studying the interaction between pile and soil,ABAQUS finite element model was used,the factors such as pile diameter and pile elastic modulus which influence the pile horizontal bearing capacity are analyzed and the results show good consistency with the experiment,which proves this model is effective.The conclusion of this paper has been applied in the practical engineering,and it will contribute to the further study of concrete filling pile.
