The engine is not only the heart of automobile parts,but also is the part of the highest failure rate.With the rapid development of embedded computing,automotive electronics industry has become extraordinarily rapid pace of development,so that To automobile performance examination equipment reliability?Usability?Intelligence and other aspects of a higher requirement.Embedded technology based on ARM,TFT-LCD liquid crystal display technology,bluetooth communication technology,embedded real-time operating system and OBD?(that is second generation on board dignostic system)are applied on the engine test system.The system uses Cortex-M3 as the lower machine,using the internal high-speed AD module for the acquisition and processing for the engine ignition system and so on,and then transferring to the upper machine via bluetooth.Besides,the OBD? module is connected to the vehicle OBD? interface with OBD? protocol,the fault codes via bluetooth are sent to the upper-computer,too.The upper-computer uses ARM11 chip S3C6410 prudoced by Samsung as the core of the system controller,also it uses the popular embedded operating system Linux to manage the hardware/software resources.Receving data via bluetooth,the system either display real-time dynamic waveforms when the data come from AD data aquisition,or diagnose the cause of the malfunction by directly find fault code table when the data come from OBD? module.A 256M bytes of SRAM and a 2G bytes of NandFlash are configured to the system to guarantee the smooth running of the Linux system.The system is also configured with a 2G bytes mass storage card for storing collected data and a 5'LCD touch screen for human-computer interaction interface.The system tests the engine ignition system,air flow meter and so on,and analyzes the relevant waveforms.Finally,the experiment shows that the system has good feasibility,and improves the inspection efficiency of the engine,which has higher value.
