In this era with an explosion of information,the infrared telescope based on thermalimaging technology not only has been applied in the field of military but also widely usedin the field of social security,environmental monitoring, and counter-terrorism. With theexpansion of application fields, the performance and functionality of the infrared telescopeare required to improve.Traditional infrared telescopes can not meet the increasing demand.This paper designed a kind of multifunction infrared telescope based on theARM11processor,getting observational data through the communication of the ARM11controller with GPS,electronic compass and laser rangefinder. These datas will becomputed and the result of target location information will be sended to the specified userthrough the CDMA module.At the same time,the telescope can save real-time image andthese pictures or videos can be looked back.if there is wifi wireless network,the real-timeimage can be also transfered to the specified client.This paper complete the following several aspects of research:overall project design ofmulti-function infrared telescope; Transplant the embedded Linux operating system andresearch linux kernel driver by the Huaheng S3C6410platform.write parts of Linuxdrive;code serial application for a variety of peripherals and operating procedures of thecontrol menu;write programs for video capture,compression and wirelesstranslation.realize the function of video capture,compression and Geographic informationacquisition and processing...
