This article researches a rigid-flexible coupled model of virtual prototyping combined with structure design of portal scanning tower then simulates and analyzes this model.It is based on virtual prototype technology,with three dimensional design software Solidworks,virtual simulation software ADAMS and the finite element analysis software MIDAS as a development platform.This article explores the key technology of virtual prototype in the use of product design process.This paper mainly researches the following several aspects according to the concerned questions.First of all,the subject combined with structure design of portal scanning tower,briefly analyzes the structure principle and application of portal scanning tower,and establishes a three-dimensional model of portal scanning tower using three-dimensional design software Solidworks.Secondly,Based on Solidworks and ADAMS development platform,it establishes rigid-flexible coupled prototype model which chooses fixed main structure as rigid body,mobile guide pillar as the flexible body.Then,the subject simulates and analyzes the virtual prototype model of portal scanning tower combined with the theoretical basis of virtual simulation software in the mechanical system motion analysis,and discusses some dynamic characteristics under different working conditions.Finally,this article analyzes the whole portal scanning tower machine by using finite element analysis software MIDAS and gets the mechanical parameters under different working conditions then contrasts analysis with ADAMS simulation results.In a word,the virtual simulation and analysis of portal type scanning tower,is further discussion to computer simulation technology in application of mechanical engineering field and is the preliminary attempt to research method which combines structure analysis of finite element software MIDAS with rigid-flexible coupled model simulation analysis of software ADAMS.Research results can provide references for this type of mechanical dynamic design.
