With the development of the world economy,industry and the growth of population,the demand for energy continues to increase,and human society is facing the challenges of the energy crisis and environmental pollution.As a clean and renewable energy,photovoltaic power develops quickly around the world,and plays a vital role in the global energy structure.How to improve the converting efficiency of solar cell is very important on the photovoltaic power and its industry,so we should focus on the study of Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT).At present,the existing problems of MPPT are the slow tracking speed,the poor precision,and the error-large tracking when the environment changes frequently,etc.With the solar photovoltaic using widely,such as marine photovoltaic system and vehicle mounted photovoltaic panel,there are lots of problems,for example,the instability of photovoltaic panel.This paper studies the technologies of MPPT for photovoltaic power generation system.The following contents are studied mainly: the basic principle and output characteristic of solar cell,the choice and design of DC-DC main circuit,the basic principle and design method of sliding mode control,focusing on the strategy of MPPT control for photovoltaic system based on sliding mode control.By establishing the simulation model in Matlab/Simulink,simulation results and performance analysis validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.At the same time the paper establishes the simulation model based on P&O(Perturbation and Observe)for photovoltaic system,and compares the two control methods to verify the advantage of sliding mode control in control accuracy,control rate and stability.Finally,experimental results verify the effect of sliding mode control through the designed hardware platform.The simulation and experimental results show that the sliding method control for photovoltaic system MPPT control has faster tracking speed and more stable tracking precision as the external environment changing,remains stable at the maximum power point,and its self-adoption and anti-interference are also better.
