| This research is among the few on effective communications management in the aircraft teardown projects.Earlier articles offered suggestions on the methods that allow to improve communications flow in the construction,IT projects.The present paper examines how project managers could increase the efficiency of project communications planning,executions and control in the teardown projects.The primary target of this paper are the project managers,who are working in the aviation sphere realizing part-out projects.The first phase of the investigation involves a survey that was completed by 215 part-out companies as well as by 69 operators.Totally,among the respondents who participated in the questioner were project managers,top managers mostly.The aspects explored there may be divided into three groups:key factors that influence effective planning and control of communications management in the aircraft teardown projects and main barriers that hamper effective project communications management.77%of respondents totally marked《Tailor the communication plan according to the target audience》as the most important factor that should be considered during planning stage,more than 86%of people claim that physical barriers(Internet connection;phone connection)is a vital problem during communication process.The second part of the research is a case study that describes the process of communications management in the realized by AIRFAST International aircraft teardown project.The efficiency of communications flow in this project was evaluated and the main problem was identified.The absence of the complex automation system that should unit all the existent database complicates the communications management process.As a result,possible solution was suggested.This work is highly valuable as it discovers a huge abundance of innovative points on efficient communications management in the teardown projects. |
