Land resources are more and more scare in our country,while the beach resources are rich.If the beach resources can be reasonably utilized,the contradiction between limited land resources and the needs of the people will be greatly alleviated.However,because of the special characteristics of beach silt,the most difficult problem is how to solidify the beach silt economically and effectively so as to meet the basic performance and environmental requirements of energineering construction.In this paper,the Taizhou Sanmen beach silt in Zhejiang Province,was studied through analysing water rate,compositin and microstructure.Then based on the mechanism of cement sol-gel chemical solidification,the properties and the beat admixture mixture ratio of stabilized beach silt,stabilized by adding single or compund admixtures,were studied.The solidification mechanism and enhancement effect of single or compound admixtures,containing lime,dypsum,water reducer and sodium silicate,in the process of chemical solidification of beach silt were studied through analyzing the unconfined compressive strength,water content,SEM,EDS and XRD.The results showed that all of the four kinds of admixtures can effectively enhance the performance of silt stabilized soil.Under foundation of introducing 6%cement,the optimum dosage of lime,dypsum,water reducer and sodium silicate was 2%,2%,0.025%and 1%respectively,and the 28d compressive strength can be promoted by 70%,85%,28%and 57%respectively.Moreover,the compound admixture mixed by 1%lime,2%dypsum,0.025%water reducer and 1%sodium silicate showed a better enhancement effect than any other single admixture and the 28d compressive strength reached 1.25Mpa increasing almost 105%.In addition,3%NaCl solution,made to simulate the application environment,was used to test the durability of solidified beach silt.The result showed that the stabilized beach silt after the action of admixtures can effectively prevent the erosion of sea water,and maintain stable structure and basic mechanical properties in marine environment.
