In recent years,with the rise of domestic demand of general aviation and the increase of general aviation aircraft,the insufficiency of low-airspace security facilities is becoming increasingly significant.In the meantime,it is difficult for the existing airspace management to track and control the general aviation aircrafts,seriously affecting the national air defense and the flight safety.In view of the regulatory requirements of general aviation aircraft,this paper carried out the research and design work on the general aviation airborne monitoring terminal with a basis of Beidou system.The main work and contribution of this paper are as follows:(1)Currently,there is a blind spot of surveillance in the low altitude radar.And the ADS-B airborne equipment is expensive while has a limited communication distance.To deal with the above problems,this paper designed an airborne monitoring terminal based on Beidou system,which can work under the Beidou RDSS communication mode and 4G mobile communication mode.It helps to improve communicational continuity of the general aviation airborne monitoring terminal.(2)At the present stage,the ADS-B airborne terminal has a large size which is inconvenient to install.Aiming at the problems,this paper adopted the design method of high integration and miniaturization.The monitoring terminal this paper designed integrates of miniaturized antenna,miniaturized RDSS communication module,miniaturized RNSS positioning module,high-density lithium polymer battery,etc.The size of the airborne monitoring terminal designed is 120mm×77mm×58mm,only half of the traditional ADS-B airborne terminal.Thus,it can be applied and installed easily.(3)The communication frequency of the traditional Beidou communication terminal is limited to one time per minute.In order to improve its performance,this paper designed a Beidou multicard multiplexing module,which can support 6 cards to work together.The method adopted is as follow:We use the ARM microcontroller to drive analog switch work,combined with the multicard-multiplexing algorithm.As a result,communication frequency of Beidou short message has increased by 6 times,which meets the high frequency monitoring needs of the general aviation aircraft.(4)In the end of this paper,it shows the result of performance and function tests on Beidou airborne monitoring terminal.The tests include success rate test of the RDSS communication,function test of multicard multiplexing module,the test of communication blind zone,in-vehicle device testing and so on.The results show that the performance and function of the designed monitoring terminal can reach the initial goal.In general,the test results of Beidou airborne monitoring terminal demonstrate that the design meets the needs of the general aviation aircraft.The research result of this paper adds some reference value to the reserch and design on the Beidou airborne monitoring terminal.
