This reasearch is supported by project Research on Key Technologies of 4G multi-services for mobile Internet applications in Power Communication System (SGRIXTKJ[2015]No.349). It mainly deals with the design and implement of the multi-mode communication terminal based on WLAN/LTE technology. The thesis presents the implementation scheme of the terminal on an embedded Linux system to achieve 3G/4G/WiFi networks integration. The terminal uses ARM Cortex-A8 chip S5PV210 as the core processor, running on embedded Linux operation system. Kernel compiling, driver transplantation is finished to make the network devices workable while programming work based on socket comminication is done to achieve data reception processing, network resource management, device management and other functions. It is shown by the system joint debugging and testing result that the embedded terminal can function stably, quickly and reliably, which can be applied in power communication transmission system and other scenes alike.The thesis is devided into 5 chapters as follows.In Chapter 1, background and significance of the research is introduced as well as main work together with the architecture of each chapter.In Chapter 2, the overall design of the system and scheme of muliti-mode communication terminal is proposed according to the application scenarios. In overall design, the system is divided as 3 parts:managering terminal, muliti-mode communication terminal and data monitoring terminal. Furthernore, modules of the second part is specified.In Chapter 3, the hardware system on embedded ARM Cortex-A8 chip is constructed while embedded Linux sofeware development environment is completed. Meanwhile, customization and transplantation of drivers for 3G,4G, WiFi network devices are finished.In Chapter 4, after giving the overall software architecture, implementation mechanism of multi-thread programming, allocation of function module and procedure of coding is elaborated. Based on socket communication, this chapter accomplishes coding work of data receving, data processing, network resources managing and devices managing.In Chapter 5, the testing environment is set up to test the hardware modules and functions of controlling software. After that, the whole system goes under united reconcile test which shows that the mulit-mode communication terminal functions stably, quickly and reliably.
